1. remote control for visually impaired

   i recently purchased the TV portal for my 96 yo dad who is legally blind. it's AMAZing b/c he can see us on the TV which is large. i have recommended it to many of the other people in his building BUT, he cannot operate the remote control b/c it's too small and sensitive (he also has a tremor). he uses other remote controls which are designed for the visually impaired. it would be a very simple thing to create...just larger with brightly colored buttons. i am sure you could get guidance easily on what it would need to look like. there is a HUGE market for this with the elderly. skype and zoom are too complicated for them and many of them do not have computers or their computer skills are limited.

2. Add 'Switch to Primary Speaker View' to group chat

   When using a web browser for Facebook video group chats you can 'Switch to Primary Speaker View', but this is not available on the Portal (according to your Chat Support). This would be very useful as a lot of the time you only need to view the person who is speaking and not the other 6 in on the call. This is wasted screen collateral.

   This functionality is available on other services and has been for a while. Please add this to the next Software Update, or educate the Chat Support staff if it is already in there somewhere. Thanks.

3. Be able to Video Call my Instagram friends

   Messenger and WhatsApp integration are perfect but be able to video call my Instagram friends would be amazing!

   Also, there more to do with IG:
   -record a video for story
   -live stream

   Common guys! IG = FB make it happen!

4. HomeKit Secure Video Compatibility

   As many people My Portal TV got the perfect place in my living room to be the perfect Secure indoor smart Cam. Be able to check the live stream from the Portal App would be amazing or make it HomeKit Secure Video even better!

5. Be able to add additional stories to the portal

   Would love to have more and new stories as I am using portal to teach preschool with my grandson who lives across the country from me during the "stay home" period. We do this Monday thru Friday. He loved portal "books"! My library is closed and purchasing books is difficult. I really appreciate my portal!

7. Video Conferencing for virtual doctor's visits

   It would be incredibly beneficial if Portal would have compatibility with Medical Portal Apps for virtual doctor's visits that use video conferencing. For example: My Premise Health and other apps like it.

9. Alexa bug: Can’t be relinked

   If you deregister your portal from you’re amazon account it will let you re-link it via the amazon website, but Alexa will not work... no matter what you do.

   This needs fixing ASAP.

14. Disable screen saver

    I would enjoy a setting that would put the portal to sleep, and not scroll through any photos. When not in use, I would prefer it black.

17. Enable Joining a current Messenger Group Chat.

    If you have an ongoing group chat on messenger it’s impossible to join it. We like to get together with groups and even if you answer the call on your portal you can’t reconnect it disconnected. This is a function that works in messenger app please add to the portal.

19. "Open Social" Mode

    I'd like an option to indicate that I'm open for anyone to call, sort of like "open social" mode. This way friends wouldn't hesitate to video call me if they're bored, lonely, interested to catch up, without having to "pre-validate" the call with me as most people do before a video call. I'm not asking it to auto answer, just a contextual status of sorts.

20. "Tech Support Mode"

    I find I use my Poral with my parents a lot to do virtual tech support. They spend a lot of time turning their phones around to the camera, and Portal zooming around to their face, or someone else's voice in the room, instead of the phone, tablet or computer screen they're trying to show me. They don't do manual mode well.

    Could Portal recognize a screen being shown to the camera as an "important" thing, more important than a face or voice and focus on it as long as it's being shown? I'm up for any other offshoots of this idea to make providing tech support to my parents easier. It feels like we're walking on ice, per se, when trying to keep Portal zoomed in on the screen of what they're showing me for help.
