   I have more than 4k friends on FB. But I do not feel comfortable adding all of them on my Portal contact. Right now default setting is all on the Portal, it's hard to click more than 4K click manually to hide them.

5. allow spotlight to be used on your own camera

   Allow caller to put spotlight on a person in their physical area - I want the spotlight to follow my child, who is with me, around the room rather than me. My elderly grandmother doesn't have a portal, and even if I buy her one, she may not be able to figure out how to spotlight my daughter.

6. Manual Mode to manage other's screen.

   My trainees are moving so I need to control their screen and for older people is helpful as well since they might not understand how to use it... or even kids... Please, bring it back to make my classes more smooth and uninterrupted... Thanks!!! A Personal Trainer who is making a living out of this Portal feature!!!

8. Stop removing features!!

   Facebook is scum. Just like Skype, they have started removing several nice features with an "update" once they've lured you to their device/service.

   I got Facebook Portal last fall and suddenly they have started deleting features for no apparent reason.

   • Can no longer manually zoom in/zoom out and pan around the screen. Camera "auto" decides for you

   • Can no longer choose which person to focus on in a group video call. It automatically switches on its own using some random algorithm.

   • Can no longer transfer calls between Portal and FB Messenger on your phone

   • YouTube app gone and ability to cast to Portal from YouTube on phone also gone

   • Some nice apps like Great Big Story for short documentaries deleted

   • Setting to route calls to Portal when you're home and to phone when you're out is deleted

   Many people aren't even aware these features existed because they are gone before they could use them

   Have you heard of making things OPTIONAL, Facebook when you do these stupid changes to the Portal's software?

   It won't hurt to give the user an option whom to focus on in a group call. It won't hurt to allow user to manually zoom and pan again. That was one of the core selling points of Portal.

   Facebook Portal now has competition from Google's Nest Hub Max, Amazon's Echo Show, Lenovo Smart Display, and soon Zoom for Home and Microsoft Teams displays. Portal team has already pulled enough dick moves with their exceptionally bad software to push customers towards other brands. So don't think for one moment Facebook that you can get away with such moves or people's next device won't be yours.

9. Replacing remote control

   You are the only people that I know of who do not supply replacement remote controls. WHY!!! I ASK. It means that if you need a replacement control you have to buy the complete system. NO WAY!!! is anybody doing that. So it is time that the Big Boss’s upstairs should be sorting this out NOW as a priority. We are now in the 21st century!!!!

12. What if Portal detected pets entering the room and focused on the pet?

    We use the portal to video-chat with our parents in other states and their/our dogs sometimes enter the living area from other parts of the house. My dad/mom always has to walk over to the portal and lean it forward or put it down on the floor to show us our dog Toby, who is quite responsive to the sound of our voices. I'd love it if a software update could detect the dog (or cat) if it comes into view as it does a new person.

    My portal no longer has option for incoming calls setting to allow you to set calls only to come to portal when you are home. It used to have feature that would only ring portal if my phone was at home. If I was away with my phone it would not ring on portal unit only my phone. Recently this has changed and calls are going to portal unit at home as well as my phone when I am away from home. I spoke w/ customer support and was advised that for some reason this feature was removed now only allowing a "do not disturb" feature which is not really useful. I work outside the home and my husband works from home currently so the calls that come to my phone are also ringing there as well. There is no need for my calls to go to the portal if I am not at home near the portal. This used to be a feature you could change.

    You can make it so that people can only call the Portal when you're at home with the Home and Away function. From the home screen, swipe left, and tap on Settings > Incoming Call Settings > Only When You're Home. Then, go to your phone and confirm that you want to use the Home and Away feature when the alert pops up.

    This will make calls automatically go only to your phone when you're not at home.

    Il devrait exister une application simple et directe entre Facebook /messenger et Portal pour faire défiler en boucle sur l'ecran Portal des photos personnelles choisies et classées dans mon ordinateur Apple et en toute confidentialité sans les ouvrir à tout les utilisateur de Facebook !Portal serait alors plus qu'un appareil de vidéo-conférece mais aussi un cadre animé de photos personnelles et intimes partagées en boucle pour animer votre vie quotidienne par des souvenirs.....

15. option of turning off the tracker camera

    I use FB 10" Portal to exercise. My trainer cannot see below my knees. I think I have it fixed then the tracker camera adjust it. It would be great to have the option to turn off the tracker camera.

17. Ability to mute all or individuals during a Facebook rooms or group call

    The ability for the host in a Facebook Room or group video call to mute all or individual people through the Portal. We had a virtual birthday party with 30+ people and unfortunately some of the attendees didn’t follow direction and weren’t muting or had terrible feedback. This feature would be similar to what is available in zoom.

18. Add parental controls / child safe user account option

    For such a family-oriented device it's really shocking that the parental controls are so inadequate. I would like to have a child safe no-PIN user option, which only allows calling to approved contacts (grandparents etc) and where the available apps are unavailable or restricted at the discretion of the parents. The adults could still retain full functionality in their user account with a PIN.
