Allow livestreaming to facebook.
I'm returning my portal because I assumed this was a feature... As an influencer with a large audience I got excited about portal, but alas I misjudged it. At present it's just a non-portable iPad knockoff with only 6 apps and a better camera.
As soon as you add live-streaming, a ton of influencers are going to jump
on this and start using and talking about portal and sales will take off.
You should forward this message to your head of product development.

As part of a recent software update, the ability to stream on Facebook Live has been added to Portal, Portal Plus, and Portal Mini. Simply select the Facebook Live app on your device and select Start Live Video! As this feature is not available on Portal TV at this time, we are marking this idea as Started. I bought mine last year because it advertised Facebook Live as a feature and now it’s disabled. I want a refund for false advertisement. I can see it not an option for those who purchased it without it and then it’s added as a feature but later removed, but not advertised as a feature and then taken away. False advertisement for those of us who bought one after the feature was added.

I just bought the Portal TV device and love the Messenger calls. Then, I was ready to "Go Live" and realized I could not. I called customer services and found out you can go live on all the other portal devices except for the Portal TV. I am so blown away that this is even an issues. I will have to return the 3 I bout for me, my college student and parents because that was one of the main reasons we all wanted it. The echo's it is and I hate that because I am a huge fan!

We need the ability to use our professional pages not just personal for this feature. It's important for the crew at Portal to figure out how you can maximize this devices use so we don't just have a phone that takes up space on a shelf. We can come up with ideas, so can you implement them??

Please add all of the standard call video controls to the live streaming. Need the ability to turn off smart zoom and follow features etc

I purchased this thinking I could go live on YouTube an Facebook. We shouldn’t have to ask for that feature. Your advertisement made it seem as if it would go live. Why would we purchase a iPad that we can’t take off the stand?!?!? It’s useless. That’s a simple software fix unless your gonna try to sell a newer version and rip people off with this one. Please fire the people in charge. This was a good idea but if your going to go this route then your research and money on this product was all in vein.

We bought our Facebook Portal because the sales person at Best Buy told my wife that if she is doing facebook lives this would be the perfect product for her. it was a waste of money. We could not get the camera to work so I went online to the support page and found out that the Facebook Portal is not capable for Facebook Live but that "May" be added in an update in the future but not definite. This totally sux.

I really need my portal to be able to go live on my Facebook page, such a waste! This is made by Facebook how is this not a priority and how does it not have a Facebook app that is a main part of the device! Pretty shocking actually

Absolutely necessary! If not this device, then a separate device. I would buy in a heartbeat if I could record video using the automatic zoom and follow feature as well as the voice moderation in recording video and going Facebook Live. If you don't add it to this...create it! There is clearly high demand.

Would love one that could also send as FB Live or video that goes on FB. Even as a separate product. Right now, if I want to video or FB live, I have to find someone else w a camera who can record me. This would be AWESOME to do my cooking demos and talks---with the smart camera that follows you, you don't have to stay in one spot!

The primary reason for purchasing Portal is to use Facebook Live to present live culinary demonstrations. Not being able to execute Facebook Live is a major disappointment.
