Allow longer video recording and saving / uploading
I want to use Portal + to track me as I make a selfie video or during a practice / workout session. This has a great camera and mic, can we use it to make videos? Please? No more selfie stick and poor sound quality
Thanks for providing this feature request. As part of a recent software, we released the Photo Booth app on Portal. Photo booth allows you to take photos and short videos with your Portal and send them via Facebook Messenger. However, as this idea seems to be more about recording and saving longer videos, we’re going to leave this one open and change the title to better reflect this. Thanks!

I agree. This is such and incredible camera for recording longer videos. FB should put some effort into making this happen. What is the limitation that prevents it? Memory storage? It seems the video could just be stored in your FB or Messenger account.

yes plz. im trying to record my zumba dances and this camera follows me n would be a huge benefit to be able to record and save to a cloud.

Just a plus one on this request. remote file sharing or cloud storage would likely be needed, but that'd be fine. Actually count plus one for all 5 people in my house that make videos and the 4 portal devices we bought.

Not only longer videos but also help in figuring out what is going on with my phone facebook signin. It Had Me Login To Someone Else's Account For A Period Of Time. All Of A Sudden It Corrected.

For those of you who want to use it as a cheap high tec tracking vid cam, I believe that calling your portal from your computer (from another fb account) in messenger, then using any number of video capture software available to capture that video/sound on the computer side would work.

I too want to use the video function to record cooking videos as I have the ports plus in my kitchen - can we record longer then 30swconde somehow? Or link it another device to do this?

Hi, I was looking for this feature also. My daughter wants to take videos of her dances that are 2-3 minutes long. The camera is great following you, so it’s a shame it only allows 30 seconds

This would be great, my kids would love to make little music videos but 30 seconds is no good. 3-5 minutes should be the minimum “maximum” really!

Hi, this feature would be an amazing addition. It would also be great if we could save and upload conversations. It would just require that all the users check a box at the beginning of the call to agree to save the footage. It would be great for home movies, virtual family reunions, craft tutorials and sharing baking recipes.
