Why isn’t there an option to search music on Spotify?
Just let me search on Spotify. Why is there the app if I can’t search for music. It seems incredibly counterintuitive to have me go onto my laptop/cell phone to open Spotify to create a playlist just so it shows up on my portal device. Please fix this.

This is just ludicrous. I purchased the Portal for my mom who's just moved into assisted living. Figured it was a great way for her to keep in touch with friends and listen to music. I created countless playlists with all of her favorites, only to discover she only has access to Spotify curated playlists. So disappointing.

Hi it would seem that even after 2 years this has not been rectified!! April 2021 and you still can't search for an artist or track.I too pay for the product - Why has no-one from Facebook replied with a reason. You can ask Portal, however if you don't know how to pronounce an artist it doesn't find what you are looking for. I tried with Ludovic Einaudi!

Never again getting a Facebook product. So many issues. Can't use Alexa with Spotify. Can't use Portal commands with Spotify. Facebook is acting like Apple which means I'll be shopping for a different product.

Seriously. I echo everyone else. I actually went to iheart radio because I couldn't find what I was looking for. Just wanted to play some classical music for my mom. Can't be that hard to just throw in a menu. I pay for the service, I'd like to be able to use it on all platforms.

This is pretty silly not to have a search input function on a touch device... Also I cant even view all my song or albums I only have access to playlists. Really a minimal service which I have to rely on using my phone to select the music which sort of the defeats the object of portal.
Sort it out, not a hard fix, your facebook & spotify you should know better on how to do these things.

its been a year and a half and no sign of search within the spotify app on portal since the original thread. I feel thoroughly deceived by this product in regards to all functionality other than make facebook calls

You have to have spotify premium and you just search music useing alexa on spotify.
