Ability to disable effects and storytime
If there is an option in settings to disable effects and storytime during the video call it would be great. My 3-year-old son always goes to effects and storytime instead of talking.

Same with our kids, then the portal locks up and we have to hang up and call back, so annoying.

Yep same here, we have been doing a nightly portal call with cousins but it has devolved into all effects… iPhones have a great feature called guided access which keeps the phone in a single app and limits the capabilities.

Yeah, this is a big problem. My kids just fight over who gets to push buttons and don't talk to the grandparents

Agreed, same thing with my 4 year old son. Sometimes we need to have a real conversation instead of effects & stories!
