The ability to have the Portal call an Amazon Echo or any other similar device would open up a tremendous opportunity for users of all such devices and I believe that all the different device companies would benefit.

Look at the Cell phone industry today. Many manufacturers. Many Cell signal providers. The number of people using cell phones today would never have been that large if an Apple user could only call other Apple users or Verizon users could only call other Verizon users.

The voice activiated devices have enormous potential. Being able to use them cross platform would open up a whole new world of use.
