Replace built-in camera
I dropped the portal and the camera now has a scratch. The whole portal is still functional as usual but the scratch causes a huge blurred spot on the video. Facebook should help users fix the camera so they can continue using the portal.

My 2 yr old grandson dropped the portal and now there is a small fuzzy area noticed when talking to him at his home. Is there anyway this can be remided? Thanks

Mine too. I use it tilted sideways to avoid the blurry lens. FB shd be able to help fix this. If it’s out of the warranty, where can we buy the lens to have it fixed at a shop?

Same here, my 4 year old daughter scratched the lens a little and she's all fuzzy now when we talk. It's such an expensive device I can't just up and buy a new one! That lens should really be easier to replace and they should have thought about selling parts like this to Portal users.
I did some digging, and they actually stated these devices are strictly for those 13+ ... and more than likely figured they wouldn't get damaged in this way by kids. I find it bonkers that no one at Facebook had enough intelligence to realize these devices would be used by children regularly to talk to their family members. It doesn't even have Messenger for Kids on there which is a HUGE fail IMO. My daughters Fire Tablet has Messenger for Kids on it, and somehow even though she throws that thing around all day, the lens never gets damaged like the portal.
*Update* I spoke to support and there is no repair. If it's out of warranty you have to buy a new device. I am going to be looking for an alternative as this is ridiculous.

Agreed. Same thing with my 5 year old niece. I gave it to her family as a present and now we get the blurred area also. Is there any way to replace just the camera lens? Would also love to get it repaired. I gave several members of my family portals and we have the Portal TV in addition to the smaller one. Really love them but right now I cannot afford another one.

Agreed. My five year old must've dropped it and I didn't know. There is a scratch on the fish eye lens that sticks out and now her grandparents can't see her. Wave only had it for 4 months 😫 can't afford to replace it. I would love to get it repaired
