Change Alexa’s name
Please, please make an update that allows a change of name from Alexa to “Echo” or “Computer” anything else (like Amazon allows). Our daughter is named Alexa, and I’m sure anyone with an Alexis or Alex or similar names is struggling with this. I recently connected my Amazon account to my Portal so I can access my music from there, and every time I call my daughter it interrupts / messes up. Those of us with family members or friends named Alexa (or variations of it) would really appreciate it. I have to disable my camera and microphone in order to have music playing in the background just so I don’t call my daughter and interrupt music. This wonderful device isn’t hands free in our case :( Thanks for listening! And please VOTE, folks!

Absolutely need this. I already have an Echo Show in the same room that responds to Alexa. Now both the Portal TV and Echo respond simultaneously with unexpected results. Echo devices are clever enough not to do this but not Portal

I was for sure that you were mistaken that you can't change the name from Alexa on Portal but lo and behold the option is missing for when you select Portal on the Alexa app or on the Alex website. It's very odd that this isn't supported. Maybe they are running an old version of Alexa or just have it disabled?
