Enable Ethernet use on USB-C port on Portal TV !

Please, why can't we use Ethernet with USB-C port on Portal TV ?
While we can on other Portal devices ?? There's absolutely not any logic here!

    I also read that this could be done. I purchased a usb connector and Ethernet cable. It doesn’t work! FB told me that the Portal TV used to support this functionality but they removed it after an update. Why?! It work so much better if it could connect to my broadband via Ethernet as opposed to Wifi which is unreliable in a dense urban environment. Give us back our Ethernet!

    I read that it could be done I got the recommended device but it will not connect WHY???
