  2. Make an option for remote portal to control the camera

    Remote portal could control the camera but this feature was removed!!! Instead of removing the feature just give us an option to allow or disallow! !!

  4. Lock facility for security and to prevent childrens access

    I have a young child who is able to access content on my accounts, it would be good to have a facial unlock feature or just a password lock.

  5. Use Portal TV Camera to broadcast your own Facebook live.

    The Portal TV Camera is an excellent product that has high resolution imaging, and I love the feature that t follows you in the room. However, an amazing feature would be to allow you to broadcast Facebook live videos from your Portal TV. The Advantage is having a large screen and camera that follows you, while you can sit with your laptop and read comments during the video. Please add Facebook Live Broadcasting to Portal TV !!!

  10. USB-C Hub support through firmware update

    Would love to see support for USB-C hubs added through a firmware update. This would enable mic in/speaker out and further video out options, without having to change device architecture or obsoleting current units.

  11. Be able to Video Call my Instagram friends

    Messenger and WhatsApp integration are perfect but be able to video call my Instagram friends would be amazing!

    Also, there more to do with IG:
    -record a video for story
    -live stream

    Common guys! IG = FB make it happen!

    the portal allow me to see the ring drive camera when i ask it to show it on the portal, but unlike the othewr echo amazon alexa devices it does not warn me of the present of people on my drive

  16. handoff facebook video chat between devices (desktop/mobile/portal)

    allow users to start a video all or Room on one device, and then pass it off to another device without disconnecting and creating a new chat session. For example, user starts a video chat on their desktop, and then passes off the video to the Portal in their living room, and then passes off to their mobile device where they can take it in the car when they leave the house.

    Users using a Facebook Portal device (Portal, Portal+, Portal TV) should be able to create a Facebook Room, or join an existing Facebook Room directly from the device.

  18. Zoom app should remember camera control setting

    Zoom app is great and has adjustable settings such as a choice of camera control mode - it defaults to a mode which zooms in on the speaker but you can change it to group mode (more like other portal calls) or manual. It’s a pain to have to adjust this setting in call for every call - please can the app remember settings from previous call?

  19. Add contacts to WhatsApp from Portal

    I am trying to setup a Facebook Portal for my aunt who is in an assisted living facility with mild dementia. I was able to create the WhatsApp account on my personal mobile phone, using a Google voice phone number. However, once I transfer the account to the Portal, I am unable to add new contacts.

    How are people setting up a Portal, using only WhatsApp (for calls only) when someone does not have a mobile phone from which to pull contacts? It would be so much easier to setup a Portal for a distant friend or relative, if you…
