Allow audio to remain on Portal when using USB-C to HDMI out
When connecting to an external display, the audio output no longer is available on Portal. This results in a rather severe echoing problem. Solution is to allow user to keep audio out / in isolated to the Portal, while video streams to an external display.

Football
You guys need to get the portal to let us all pay for a football or basketball or any sport to watch together, cheer together and have family sports time together. Cheer our team on and feel like we are on the same room! It's amazing what you made now let's move forward with these ideas! I have more ideas if you want! Marketing major here in healthcare.

Enable usage logging and viewing. This would work in conjunction with parental controls, so parents can keep tabs on how the portal is being used.

slideshow type viewing on Superframe
15sec was just too long when we were trying ot view an album, much shorter-maybe 5sec option to play as a slideshow?

"are you there?" button/voice command, quickly check if contact is ready to start a call
Test the waters by either hitting a button or asking your portal to check whether (contact's name) wants to receive a call right now, to avoid cold calling them or having to text first to see if they're ready.
Ideally this would produce an audible & visible notification on their portal that they could then respond to with: Yes please call, No I am busy, Give me 5 minutes, or a custom message.
Since calls can be initiated and answered by voice, this feature should be voice enabled on both ends too. But a visual interface would be better than…9 votes -
Ability to minimize my face during group chat of 4 or more
My face blocks the top left corner when I'm in a group chat on the portal. I would like to minimize my "box" or be able to drag it across the screen.

Volume increments are too large
also I have a small feedback to file. the increments of volume are too large.
when you ask Portal to lower the volume it either selects ~10% or zero. It should have more increments between those two volume levels. Note that it took the Google Assistant team a few tries to address this feedback as well. Volume increment discoverability is touch via ambient computing.1 vote -

Mandarin
Implement Chinese/ Mandarin in the portal languages. No other system has Mandarin and there is a huge population that speaks Mandarin.

Enable all interactions with voice commands
Anything I do on the screen should be possible with voice commands. Rating the quality of a call, opening/controlling apps, and muting the microphone are all examples of things I have to walk over to the device in order to accomplish. Make it truly hands-free!

Add Portal voice command to turn off device completely
Hi, I don't want to use my device all the time. Sometimes, I go out and I turn off the device completely. But I don't know which command that can turn off device completely. I know the command "Hey portal, turn off screen" to turn off screen, but can you add the command something like "Hey portal, turn off device" to turn off device completely instead of hold a button for a few seconds

Allow people without Facebook accounts to use the devices.
We're out there, we have our reasons, and, if we're being honest, the Portal platform would probably benefit from the additional users.
