As part of a recent software update, the ability to stream on Facebook Live has been added to Portal, Portal Plus, and Portal Mini. Simply select the Facebook Live app on your device and select Start Live Video! As this feature is not available on Portal TV at this time, we are marking this idea as Started. Thanks again to all who voted!

The whole reason for buying this portal was for Facebook live. But then opening the Box and realizing you did not have this function it was very disappointing. It would be great for businesses to use when they sell things from home and it's great to use when me and my daughter decide to do a little off the cuff cooking show for all friends and family. I was making cookies and said "this would be great moment for Facebook live but wait I have to do it on my phone" which and be a hassle getting it into the right position. Sadly without this future it just A glorified Web Cam with alexa built in. If I knew this was going to have been the case then I would have just bought an echo show. At least I can get more out of that. Once the Facebook live feature is added to this portal it will make a world of a difference and really make it stand out from Google and Amazon. Even if this was rushed to shelves it kind of goes without saying you want more Facebook features on it / options right out of the box ( such as facebook live streaming ) considering it's a Facebook device.
