Same issue in the last month. Was told by support that usb-c connection support for Portal is a "beta" feature.
Zoom does not crash if you unplug the usb-c cable (even if it approved by Portal as compatible)...but then you lose the second screen and are stuck with very limited 1 screen functionality.
