    Maybe it's a new change since you commented, but it already does this as of January 2022. If it senses motion it will come out of sleep mode

    I came here to say the same thing. Portal's competitor, the Amazon Echo Show, will show photos all day. The only reason I decided to try Portal over the Show is because I have a Show for my mom and I think having multiple folders in the Amazon photos would confuse her, and because all my photos are already on Facebook so I don't have to reupload stuff.
