Superframe videos with mute toggle
it would be awesome if you could display video in Superframe. The videos would be muted by default, and the sound could be turned on but touching a icon on the screen.

Alexa listening too long
Alexa is listening way to long ! Almost a minute then you tell her to stop or go home and she still is listening . Then says I'm having problems understanding right now. It should be like 15 seconds if she dont hear a command she should stop listening. Listening wayyyyy too long please fix this . I'm so glad I have a 2 month return policy cause if these bugs dont get fixed asap theres no point in keeping it ! Facebook you got a lot of wok to do on this new device .

Using Portal as learning English to in Japan
Aloha! I live in Hawaii. I purchased Two sets of portal because I wanted to use portal with my son who lives in my son. Portal is BEST. My brother has been doing English school in Japan and he has more than 40 franchisees. Anyway we would like to use Portal but we are not sure if Portal works in Japan. Also do you sell Portal in Japan? If I can have an opportunity to talk to you, I really appreciate it. Mahalo

Would like new stories added to the portal or at least the ability to buy a subscription to get new stories.

Currently you cannot serach for songs on Spotify.... just have to listen to what the portal recommends.

Multiple Devices
Come up with only a camera hardware to be distributed throughout the house. Then incorporate this into the AI allowing the cameras to follow you throughout the house as you walk around. This is a bit creepy but cool

Option to only display photos that fit the orientation of Portal+ (e.g. portrait photos if Portal is in portrait mode)
Photos look best when they fill the screen, this would make sure that only photos that fill the screen will be displayed.

Better re-teach older folks how to use the Portal
There's a very helpful walk-through when setting up the Portal. It uses blue boxes to teach how to use various features. Unfortunately, someone set up my father's Portal for him thus he cannot benefit from this nicely-done walk through.
My recommendation is add a way (maybe a "teach me again" button in the "TIPS" app) to re-start that guidance WITHOUT a factory reset that would require all kinds of other setup things like wifi, etc.
Consider doing more and simply. I notice the videos teach a feature then go on-and-on explaining advanced things. Those should be separate. Keep the basic…

Display photos from my friends this day/week
I'd like to see news stories, specifically photos, from my Facebook friends from the last 24 hours, from the last day, or week. If it notices no one is watching, hold the newer content until someone is around to show it.

An Xbox app for video calling party chat.
Wouldnt it be nice to video chat your gaming friends while playing coop in that online gsme on the xbox or playststion, with kenict being gone let the portal be like the new kenict but for video calling your friends.

Hey portal, turn off/turn on video (for this call)
It'd be great to be able to switch to audio/video call during a call using the assistant !

Ultra-Simple Mode
My folks are on their 80’s and not technologically inclined. They constantly turn on and off the auto mode, get lost on the apps and settings screen, initiate filters and stories. All this by just touching the wrong parent of the screen at any time.
It would be great to be able to set a ultra-simple mode that can be enable and it would remove everything but the calling ability, in fully auto mode, no voice assistant, and all the other apps and things that you might be inclined to add.

Show Timers
One of the things I liked about Alexa Show was that they now show on going timers in the corner of the screen. Portal you have to ask how much time is left on the timer.

Stop or Pause radio command
There is no voice command to stop or pause playback on iheartradio or browser radio. forcing you to walk over to the device and navigate menus to pause music. :-(

Thanks for your suggestion. I looked into this and I believe"Hey Portal – pause the music" and “Hey Portal – resume the music” should accomplish what you’re looking for when you have iheartradio music playing. Please let us know if those commands work for you!
