  2. Make the Portal mini work without having to reboot before using.

    Make the wifi connection to the mobile phone more stable. It works after reboot then it drops off and no more calls received /made until it is rebooted. Total rubbish.

  3. PRODUCE A PRINTABLE PDF SPECIFICATION SHEET TO HELP WITH THE PURCHASE AND USE OF THE PRODUCT, AND DO IT ASAP

    We urgently need a proper printable pdf spec to help people looking to invest in this (and the internet) as a critical way of communicating with family and friends at the time of confinement (and beyond). Please create one and post on your website ASAP. It is not a suggestion, it is an order.

  4. Please remove auto cropping on Portal TV

    When chatting with users on their phone's I do not see the full image, it is cropped in height. I presume this is due to the fact that they're in portrait mode and I'm permanently in landscape mode. Please at least provide the option to toggle this on/off as I'm being shown designs but missing elements which is somewhat frustrating both for me and the other person.

  5. Connect to cell phone to read messages and respond by voice or text

    Portal could be awesome if it could connect to my iPhone for reading or listening to messages either in messenger or through regular texting app and be able to respond through voice or written text

  8. Add Dutch as a language.

    Add Dutch as language for portal user interface. It's not absolutely necessary to have a dutch/European power adapter version, but it would be great if my Dutch only speaking parent can use the device after I set it up for her.

  9. A simple/physical remote control for making and receiving calls with only one push of a button

    Please create a simple remote control for making and receiving calls, maybe adjusting volumes. You can assign favorite contact to numbers like (call fav#1, fav#2, ...). This will enable making and receiving calls with only one push of a button. This allows seniors and people who do not speak native languages to use it easily.

  10. Restore last video input used after the call (PORTAL TV)

    This way, when kids are watching TV and they got the call they don't need to change the video source all the time.

  13. Enable a direct input audio feature to the USC C connector 😊

    Simply utilizing that there's already a USB C connection in the back of the Gen 1's... be able to hook up a audio interface or something to feed direct audio to the Portal. Clean direct audio from a mixer or something for a live stream performance.

  14. Allow friends list to be hidden or to hide certain contacts

    I don’t need all 500+ of my Facebook friends list on the portal. I’d like to just keep it to the favorites and I can add more if I’d like to. I don’t need my kids calling old classmates, business contacts etc.

  16. Photo booth features

    Adding a feature were it can take the classic photo booth style prints, as well as being able to customize frames. Another cool feature is allowing users to create gifs with customized frames. All in all that can be easily uploaded to facebook. Would be a fantastic idea for business owners, events, and weddings!

  20. Get rid of the constant suggestions such as those about calling friends and using Portal to play games.

    I Purchased a portal mostly because I like the constant stream of digital photos… Of course I realize I could’ve bought a digital photo frame but I like that I can make video calls too so I decided on the portal. I do not like however, when my photo stream is interrupted by suggestions from Portal such as “hey portal call Melinda, or when it shows me that my friends are online, or when it makes suggestions on using my photo to play games. I would prefer that my Portal not be connected to Facebook at all. But I do…
