Portal needs Support for the Deaf Community
I meet a lot of people through traveling for my job, and I keep hearing about a growing community of users who are deaf using video calling devices, Portal especially. I know using sign language to command Portal is probably beyond the technology we have available now, but if there’s anyway to create a section of quick commands that could be used on the touch screen, Portal could quickly gain a huge market that is largely overlooked in the Smart Home category.
(For example, tap “Quick Commands” and then the user could tap something like, “Hey Alexa/Portal, what’s the forecast?”)

you use people signing to each other in your advertisement yet have no visual light or led flash notification feature. Most phones even have this feature now. very poor planning and then to illustrate its use by deaf individuals with out consideration of actual accessibility and function is just another example of lack of real concern for inclusion.
