TV should automatically switch on when someone is calling my portal tv
Currently when someone is calling my portal:
1. I need to use Tv remote and change source to portal hdmi
2. Then use portal remote to answer the call
This problem can be solved by picking up the call on mobile and then transferring the call to tv. But then again, tv should turn on automatically. Currently when I cast my YouTube videos to chromecast, my tv even if it is switched off will turn on.

I face a similar problem. Facebook Portal team is not resolving this issue for so long now.

I have same issue. What is the point of having to get an advisory call that a call on Portal will take place in 5 mins? As per the previous comment, the need to change hdmi sockets to receive a call on Portal makes this a cheap and poorly designed device. And yes, I have asked for help and I am advised I have an Internet problem!!!!!!!!

If Portal was built on a linux kernel. The hdmi-cec command would be below. Maybe a developer might see this :)
#Turn on the TV
echo "on 0" | cec-client -s#change source
echo "as" | cec-client -s -

Tv remote can be used if you enable hdmi-cec on your tv.
