Like many people I bought the Portal for my ageing mother, who has dementia. Sometimes she tidies it away into a drawer. I can't tell from ringing her whether she's not there of the Portal is actually off. Surely an incoming call could receive a message along the lines of "Portal not active", rather than just ringing?
