FB states that Messenger is still of use if one deactivates their FB account. My parents paid a lot of money for all the children to have a Portal so they could video call everyone. Now that my FB account is deactivated, the Portal is of no use to me. Messenger doesn't work to allow us to communicate on it now, despite what FB claims. My parents will not use WhatsApp. They have a hard enough time learning Portal.
