I am trying to setup a Facebook Portal for my aunt who is in an assisted living facility with mild dementia. I was able to create the WhatsApp account on my personal mobile phone, using a Google voice phone number. However, once I transfer the account to the Portal, I am unable to add new contacts.

How are people setting up a Portal, using only WhatsApp (for calls only) when someone does not have a mobile phone from which to pull contacts? It would be so much easier to setup a Portal for a distant friend or relative, if you could enter phone numbers of their friends and family directly into the device.
