By making it work!
A year ago I bought both me and my parents a portal, when it works, it works great... But that is WHEN IT WORKS.
Occasionally it does not ring on my side or on theirs making it absolutely useless.
Or when it does ring and we pick up I cannot unmute or turn my camera on in the screen. The slide at the top is so it should both work, but the inscreen signs show muted and camera=off. When i tap on the these sign in the screen in order to make them work, it simply mutes me straight away again. Again, the device is useless.
We dont like having it on when we dont use it, so this always happens after a fresh restart.
Facebook Portals online help is also pretty useless as every answer basically comes down to, your wifi is bad or just restart...
The conclusion: Facebook has made a device that MIGHT work if you restart twice, but dont rely on it.
