  3. "manual mode" within FB Messenger app

    It's crazy that there's no mobile phone or tablet app that lets me "move" the camera focus. When calling into a Portal from the Messenger app, I have to accept its tracking -- which can be wrong, and doesn't let me look around the room if I need to.

  4. Would love to see more interactive games. Maybe even a few older kids would like.. 8 to 10 range or even older.

    More interactive games. Some that would interest older kids. I love the split screen so I would imagine there should be quite a few games that could be played,maybe even from an app?

  5. Add Messenger/the ability to send recorded videos to be viewed on Portal

    Would LOVE to be able to send a video (recorded video, not a live video chat) for someone to be able to view on their Portal! Whether that is accessing Facebook Messenger to send text/video via Messenger from Facebook or whatever. I bought a Portal for my grandparents to be able to videochat them, but I'd love to be able to send them videos too! (They are not Facebook/computer users beyond Portal)

  7. Support WhatsApp Groups

    WhatsApp Groups are getting more and more popular during the current lockdowns. I have seen family groups, residents' associations, help for the vulnerable etc. All these depend on setting up and/or joining a WhatsApp group. This is very powerful - everyone gets to see all the messages, including photos, video etc. This is not a voice calling system. I was really disappointed to find that Portal does not support WhatsApp groups, where one can use them on smart phones and desktop computers.

  8. Learning Stories Educational- Learning basics as well as manners, kindness, etc. while still being fun and keeping child interested.

    Idea #1
    Fun while also learning, practicing the basics- alphabet, numbers, colors, animals, etc.

    Idea #2
    Stories that teach good behavior, good morals, treating others with kindness and respect, taking care of our earth, etc.

    Idea #3

    Stories that teach basic 2nd language skills like Spanish.

    Idea #4
    Stories that are interactive and different options could be chosen like choosing to go to the beach or climb a mountain for example.

  9. Apply Music support through Alexa, or if possible through portal

    I tried to use Apple Music by asking Alexa, but it responded Apple Music is not supported on this device. Please add Apple Music support.

  10. Messenger message that is more streamlined

    They should have a way for you to look at your Facebook messenger messages on the portal tv so you can do messenger rooms video chats more easily that someone sent you and it might be nice to see your messages on the big screen!

  17. Leave Notes on Portal via Portal App on household members’ individual Portal

    I am a service member often separated from my spouse and child. I would like to be able to leave a Note from the Portal app onto their individual portals so they can get their own sweet notes from me on their own Portals. Their should be a way to have household Portals connected on the app so that from my phone I could leave a note for spouse on spouse’s Portal or child on child’s Portal.

  19. Portal tv wireless microphone or headset

    For Portal TV provide support for wireless microphones or headset so that audio will be clear and not needed to speak out loud. I think portal tv has Bluetooth option inbuilt. If you could make a special wireless microphone hardware would be great to purchase for family chat or you can allow as to use wireless headset if single person use portal tv chat.

  20. I want to load android apps onto portal, even if sideloaded.

    I want to be able to use Android apps, from the google play store, or even side-loaded. This would include things like chrome, xm radio, skype, zoom, or other modes of communication I already use in other contexts. This is literally be the very first thing I tried to do when turning the device on. Why would I want a device that has a limited android OS that can't do this, when I can do a lot more with a standard android tablet, with the exception of the zoom and pan videoconferencing feature I bought portal+ for? I love that…
