1. Screen protector needed!

   Please create screen protectors for the 8" and the 10". I'm constantly wiping fingerprints off the screen and it has a terrible glare when our room is sunny. The reflection from the TV in the same room is problematic as well. Thanks!

2. put on the home screen the day of the week

   Add to the home screen the day of the week (eg Monday) with the date and time. This would be very practical especially for the elderly or retired who no longer always have the notion of time.

3. Larger brighter remote for the elderly

   My 92 year old mother can ask portal to call people...but...she cannot manage the portal remote...it is too small...if they would make it bigger, in a brighter colour with different coloured buttons it would help.
   Do you inow if you can get any remotes for the elderly that would work with portal..
   Even i find it quite small...forever losing it😂

4. Incoming call sound is ineffective.

   The incoming call sound is quiet and a delayed repeat of a strange warble. My elderly mother doesn’t recognise the sound over the Tv, kettle or any other sound going on in the house. We tried to change it, but there is only the default noise and volume.

6. Portal Home Screen Update

   Plz allow users the option of personalizing there home screens.
   The new update seems to bypass my NO TIPS preference.
   The pictures don't loop as long as they used too.
   Last, I would prefer the option of accepting updates.

7. Bring back Spotlight Please!

   We loved the idea of the Portal, and purchased units for each set of grandparents last Christmas. We've been enjoying them and using them extensively over the last year. However, the recent removal of the spotlight and manual mode controls has me starting to regret the decision.

   Spotlight mode was a major differentiating feature for me in choosing the Portal over its competition. We used spotlight mode during nearly every call. It was perfect for the grandparents to zoom in on the grandkids, or to talk to one person while others are in the room. The replacement self-view spotlight is nearly pointless, as the babies aren't going to spotlight themselves.

   Manual mode was also very useful, especially when talking to a room full of people. Now the face tracking algorithm is constantly picking up and losing people, zooming in and out over and over again. Sometimes it will pick a random person and zoom way in on them to the exclusion of everyone else. Very annoying, especially with no way to stop it now.

   When spotlight and manual mode stopped working, I assumed my Portal was broken, and contacted support. I was shocked when the agent informed me that this was an "update". Major features removed in an update without so much as a warning or a notification? Very disappointing. Even the FAQ page the support agent pointed me to didn't acknowledge that there had been a change, just described how the self-view camera controls work now.

   We were planning to upgrade our Portals this year, but not anymore.

8. Allow transfer of calls from one portal to another within the house rather than disconnecting and recalling.

   If you have more than one portal being able to transfer the active call to a different room without have to disconnect and redial. Also could be used to transfer from messenger call on a mobile to the portal when you can.

9. Monitor the UserVoice to group similar/same requests

   There are lots of examples on this forum of people raising 'new' requests that are actually the same as existing requests - thus two requests are each getting, say, 50 votes when a single combined request would be getting 100.
   Please organise this page to group similar/same requests.

10. Reinstate remote spotlight control

    When calling my disabled sister I used to be able to spotlight her face using my portal (ie remotely). She does not have the mental capacity to do this herself and my inability to do this has reduced the level of monitoring and care of which I used to be capable. Please reinstate this feature.

15. FB Kids Messenger

    Like so many others, I got my Portal so I could video call my young granddaughter only to discover after the fact that FB Kids Messenger is not supported. After all, Portal is promoted to help grandparents stay connected. What a huge disappointment! Please add FB Kids Messenger!

    As title, have anyone used Portal TV in countries such as Taiwan, Japan, or South Korea (to communicate between USA and these APAC countries)? Any data points whether it would work? If it works, would it become "not working" later? Thanks!

    USE CASE
    In this WFM-era many of us setup conference rooms at our homes in addition to home offices. The bluetooth (BT) feature is great for better sound, and great for private 1:1 calls, but when you also have a conference room/small collaboration group, it would be great to have support for a HD or near-HD quality speaker/microphone table-top unit that pairs with the Portal TV.

    FB OPPORTUNITY
    I think FB is missing this market and opportunity here. While FB does not have to create the speaker+mic table top unit, if it supported others, that would be an indirect boon -- I would think -- to the sales of the Portal TV.

    MY TEST
    I tried an OontZ Angle 3 and a Anker soundcore headphone headset. In both tests, only the speaker was transmitted, not the microphone. I wanted to see if the bluetooth worked, before purchasing a higher end conference speaker+mic array unit, but these tests failed the mic test.

    Tech Support (David) shared that BT will work with speakers and headsets, but what I described with the OontZ is not supported. Oddly though the Anker soundcore headset did not work either.

    So not sure what works for both the speakers and microphone.

    Here's hoping -- FB provides a method to support this soon.

    I just watched ur new advert and it left me in tears. After 6 years and 5 misscarages with no children and no reason y I can ashore u that advert is so heart breaking and really hard and uncomfortable to watch. All I wanted to do is sit and chill after a long day and instead I was left sobbing for 20 mins thanks to an advert reminding me wat a failure as a woman I am. I know my opinion does not matter in the gramage scheme of things but please I implore u to please do a little more research and put a little more thought in to how ur adverts can affect people.     I just wanted to give you some feedback and huge congratulations on your TV commercial with two men discussing a baby loss.

    Having faced 8 baby losses in 8 years I am a huge advocate of men talking about miscarriage and baby loss and my wife and I thought your advert was not only tastefully and sensitively crafted but also tackles a subject that is just hardly ever talked about by men or women.

    Thank you for being bold, stepping out and putting this on our screens.

    My hope and prayer is that it gets people talking about baby loss and that they get the help that they need.
