My portal screen was damaged this morning (a glass jar dropped on it) and now the image is blury and jumpy. I was hoping that I could just get the screen repaired, rather than purchasing a new device. I was shocked to find out that facebook portals are not repairable at this time. I guess I assumed with given the size of the company and their public statments regarding sustainability (https://sustainability.fb.com/) there would have been an system in place to repair broken devices. Within our imidiate family we own 5 devicers and I hate to think that all of them will end up in a landfill without an option to repair them. I hope facebook reconsiders this practice.
