An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Would it be possible to leave some kind of message on a person's Portal when I try to call them and they do not answer. I know you can see missed calls next to the name of the person calling if you scroll through the "FRIEND CONTACTS".
How about just a message on the home screen that someone called and have their name listed. Or create a sound or colored bar that indicates there is a message and ask Portal when the message is.

An error occurred while saving the comment If it helps, I'll add my plea for this again. My wife has problems saying "Hey Portal Answer". A drop in feature would make it sooooooo much easier. She has already missed two calls from my brother and sister-in-law because I was not around at the time they called and she couldn't answer with the correct responce.
We also own Echo Shows and our grandchildren have permission t drop in and this has made it so much easier. But not everyone has the Echo and I gave my brother a Portal a few months ago since it is easier to set up and operate.
The Portal has a lot of advantages over the Echo Show. This one feature, "DROP IN" would allow it to have a big jump in features vs. the Echo Show.

An error occurred while saving the comment When the volume control on the Portal is set for voice it is too low to properly hear the ring sound. My suggestion would be to have one volume for the audio and one volume setting for rings, alarms and any other ring type sounds that need to get the attention of the user.
The way it is now, the volume control needs to be turned almost all the way up to hear the ring of someone calling if you are not right next to the Portal. But when you turn the volume up that loud, the level of the voice of the person calling is way too loud.
