Please fix so portal reliably recognises incoming calls from new windows messenger app
So far this new app is inconsistent and unreliable. We all have friends and family who might want to call us from their laptops rather than their phones. They are understandably downloading the new Facebook messenger app for windows. However it seems that portal doesn’t always recognise incoming calls from the app. It seems it works from some laptops but not others - older / lower spec ones I think. So far 2 out of 3 we’ve tried from have failed for us. Please fix this so your software talks to each other. Or at least warn people if that…

Ergonomics Portal+
The screen on the Portal+ can only be used in the vertical position which makes it extremely difficult to use the screen keyboard, my work round to this has been to lay the Portal+ on it's back whilst using the keyboard - it could be said that in this instance the Portal+ is not fit for purpose. There are Health and Safety implications to using the keyboard in the vertical implications and certainly doesn't meet International Ergonomic Standards.
There is a Bluetooth capability built into the Portal+ but I connect a Bluetooth keyboard to it but I can a Bluetooth…

Auto / Manual Rotation of Portal Display
Many times when Portal video chatting with other people especially who are using Android or iphone smart phones, the lanscape image of theirselves displays sideways on your Portal. It would be very useful for Portal to auto rotate the image of them to be the correct way up or at least to be able to rotate it manually. This saves asking them to rotate their phone and having to view each other squashed on to portrait instead of being landscape.

Allow portal to not use a 'face' ie opposite of spotlight
The problem i am having is we have a mirror in the room (its round and has no face) and a few statuettes that portal is seeing as a face so resizes the view to fit them.
If you could do the opposite of spotlight and select 'faces' not to include that would be great...this would be a temporary fix i think until the facial recognition is better

Disable streaming photos to save data usage
Photo streaming is a great feature, BUT I purchased a portal for my non-tech-savvy mom, who does not have access to internet. I purchased a verizon jetpack for her and she has 30gb/month. 2-4 times a day, I think that the portal goes looking for photos to upload. Over the course of this month, that has added up to over 10gb of usage. I would like to be able to disable this to conserve data usage.

Adding Oculus Quest app
Please consider adding an Oculus app to the portal, which could pair with my Oculus Quest 2? Right now, my quest 2 can only pair to the oculus app on my iphone, but I would love to be able to cast it to my big screen tv, through my portaltv.

Remotely activated/controlled Portal
Provide an option at setup for a version of the software to be driven by an app remotely, like a child account. This would allow elderly and users with limited movement to see videos, chat and photos sent to them remotely.
My grandparents are a long way away and 97 yrs old. This would be an amazing gift for them, to see Kids, grand kids and great grandkids regularly and especially in lockdown.
This is software only and could easily be implemented as a feature.

Slide support for casting on portal app.
Allow slide show playback from portal app when casting from iPhone or iPad , having to manually swipe every photo seems like going back 20 years !!
I remember when apple and Microsoft introduced this and it was a great idea .
Slide show works if photos are on Portal TV if uploaded or on facebook albums?

Allowing Portal to be plug n play
Portal should act just like a webcam the auto tracking would be great for cooking shows and presentations as well as a bunch of other applications.

BRING BACK MANUAL ZOOM
Portal in the most recent update removed the manual zoom. Now users on both ends are required to active it for each call.
We purchased two portals so that we could stay in touch with my mother who is in a nursing home. In a setting like that there are always staff walking around, which the camera picks up. Making the experience very very poor without the use of manual zoom feature.
My assumption is that whoever decided this did it for privacy, without considering some of the real life applications of this product.

Seniors can use a portal tv for telehealth
With simple collaborations with local health providers, maybe they can send links through messenger to access through the portal. The Spanish language seniors I work with cannot use computers as easily as they can a portal. I'd like to help try this out. I have a senior center in NY.

List of actions possible via voice command
I have no idea what commands are possible. With Alexa devices I know everything it does is voice activated, but with portal the available seem more limited. My gran likes to view the slideshow for example, but I can't figure out the command to start it, and she is no use with touch screens, as Will just randomly tap the screen and hope it works

Get the voice activation to work with English UK..
Whats the difference in technology? American voice is not good to hear in the UK. Very poor selling something in UK that can only be used with American voice.

ship to two different countries
the idea of portal is 'if you cant be there, feel there' and you offer a discount to buy two. you also offer the option of sending to Different addresses within same country. What about for those in different countries ? Such a simple solution - get around it you lot. I just made you millions more dollars. You're welcome.
