1. Full Screen Mode during call. Basic Camera Controls

   I have a new born baby and wife living far away far away so the Portal TV is a perfect solution for various reasons.

   Our challenge is that without proper camera controls, the Portal does not face track my son. My wife is required to crouch by the crib to be able to get him in the frame. Adjusting the spotlight does not help. The default position for the camera seems to sit on a chair in the corner of the room.
   Having the ability to have a full room camera setting should be a basic options with launch.

   We try to run our portal as much as possible but we keep going back to our phones so that we can adjust the camera angles.

3. Enable Talk Function Through Ring Doorbell

   I can view the front door camera through the Ring Doorbell using Alexa, but there is no way to activate the mic to talk through the device. This is a major drawback for people wanting to monitor people at the front door using Portal. I was lead to believe the Portal had that functionality after viewing the picture on your website showing the front door view with a "mic on" icon in lower left corner https://portal.facebook.com/features/.

5. Ability to control Portal TV via IR.

   Ability to control portal TV via IR, so that it can be controlled via a universal remote instead of the included one. I have a single remote for my AV setup, combining 8 remotes. I don’t want to now add a second remote for just the portal TV.

6. Allow users to add more than 50 photos at once

   Superframe improvements

   1. It’s cumbersome to add photos to your Portal from your Apple photos library. You can only upload 50 at a time, and you have to select each photo individually, which is time consuming if you want to add a lot of photos.

   2. When you add photos to Portal from your Apple photos (I have not tried to add photos any other way), it changes their order around. When you go to add more photos, this makes it hard to find the spot where you left off.

   3. It fails to add all the photos you select. I added a batch of 50 photos from my Apple photos but only 48 went over. The next day I added another batch of 50 photos, but that brought the total on my portal to 82. And because the order is off, the only way to figure out which ones didn’t make it would be a real chore.

   4. Add an option to shuffle or randomize your superframe photos

   5. Add an option to have the superframe display for longer than 1 hour or indefinitely.

9. ADD GOOGLE ASSISTANT -

   I have Alexa Show and Alexa doesn't work even half as well as Google Assistant. Add Google Assistant and I know my whole family would buy them. We liked most of what Alexa show has but the one downfall was it constantly saying "hmm, I don't know that one" and we would then have to pick up our phones and ask google.

10. Allow superframe / Display to remain always on regardless of the camera shutter being active

    Currently the max option for superframe / Display with the shutter actively on the camera / motion detector is 1HR. I would like more options considering having the shutter off may be an issue regarding privacy concerns.

    Options could include the regular (1mins , 5mins , 10mins ,30 mins , 1hr)
    However options that could be included could be 6hrs,12hr,Always.
    Another option could be actively on regardless of shutter on the camera between set periods IE 7am-7pm

11. "are you there?" button/voice command, quickly check if contact is ready to start a call

    Test the waters by either hitting a button or asking your portal to check whether (contact's name) wants to receive a call right now, to avoid cold calling them or having to text first to see if they're ready.
    Ideally this would produce an audible & visible notification on their portal that they could then respond to with: Yes please call, No I am busy, Give me 5 minutes, or a custom message.
    Since calls can be initiated and answered by voice, this feature should be voice enabled on both ends too. But a visual interface would be better than nothing.
    This would be a feature that I'd use every time I called someone, and it would encourage me to reach out to more of my contacts, more often.

    I cant believe you forgot about the business applications for this device. I want 30 or more of them to communicate with our employees and clients in remote locations. However unless we want to tie to the employees personal facebook account there is no way to use it in a business application. The fb tos prohibits "fake" accounts and that is what would be needed to use this in a work place environment. It is a great tool for work that we can not use :(

14. Hulu app

    Would like to see Hulu made available as an app that functions the same as the Echo Show version, complete with Live TV streaming and Alexa voice controls. Would be great to take advantage of the large screen for live TV and movies.

    I understand the Portal is generally designed to be primarily voice activated and controlled, but I would love to be able to tap the Portal to control my Hue lights or see the state of other smart devices in my home (indoor and outdoor thermostat, for example. Or just have a "here's the current weather outside" HUD)

    I also wouldn't object if half the screen presented a live stream of Facebook notifications and current feed items.

    I think I can patch this together using Hass.io but that's a fair amount of work and it would require always displaying the browser which may or may not work?

20. using Portal commands

    I listen to Pandora on Portal, but when Portal closes Pandora, the music still plays and the app is still running. Yes, I can pause the music, but the app isn't closing, it's just being hidden. I still have to reboot to actually close the app.
    Quite a disappointing option for a high end tech device.
