We are having exactly the same issue as reported by many others in this thread. Bought the portal to connect with an elderly relative with dementia during the COVID period. However, she is unable to answer when we call and we have to rely on care workers letting us know when they are visiting to connect for her. A drop in feature is an immediate must have.

Elderly grandma with dementia cannot answer this on her own. We need to make contact during the coronavirus pandemic. This is a crucial feature...

This is the one missing feature for me, really need this to be able to speak to my gran who is unable to operate the portal

Like many on this post I bought Portal to see my elderly parents (both with dementia), every day.

It's very annoying that you can't set Portal to auto-answer and that you can't use video or drop in on Alexa.
Please add these features. you will sell a lot more portals.

I would love to see when my dog walker is coming and going and be able to check on my dog when I am not there. Please make this a thing so I can get rid of my Furbo - I would love less devices on my wifi.

We need an auto-answer option. I have both the mini and TV, but I can't call my own devices without this option.

I'll repeat the concerns of many here. I bought the Portal for my elderly mom. Unfortunately she is not able to answer the calls due to her dementia. She just can not remember the "Hey Portal answer.." command and can not see the "answer" on the screen due to her poor eyesight. Auto answer is a must for her! Also, I connected her Portal to her TV through an USB-C to HDMI adapter and when TV switched to HDMI she can see the caller on TV but after call ends it doesn't automatically switch back to TV! She can not switch it back to TV manually. These are really very important for elderly. And PORTAL has big commercial potential in that area if they can add those features.

Several issues. Auto-answer is one. The other is to share HDMI1 port and automatically switch to call when active and back to TV. These option are important for elderly and disabled.

Please add this feature!

I'd like to be able to drop in on my 4 year old throughout the day. He stays home with my mom a few days a week. Mom is not tech savvy at all
