I like (a little) the idea that, as in the TV advert, if you are chatting while you are in your kitchen, moving about, the camera will track you and keep you in the frame.

I am very happy that portal will adjust the frame depending on how many people it finds.

I am not happy that if you sit on the sofa and chat without moving around, your software is unable to maintain the framing.

Yesterday, my wife and I had a chat with my brother – portal TV to Portal TV.

He stayed in the same seat, my wife and I stayed in the same seats – Nobody moved apart from arms, hands, head, mouth?

The picture of my brother wandered occasionally showing more sofa to his left, and sometimes more sofa to his right.

Our camera, on numerous occasions, decided my wife was moving about (or had left the area) and re-framed the picture to have her half in/half out of the picture.

This must be a software error?

We are more likely to have video calls like this (not moving) than wandering about in the kitchen (where we don’t have a portal or a TV).

I would prefer the option of locking the frame.
