This device is fantastic for keeping in touch with aging parents. Unfortunately, even the most technically literate parents tend to decline with age, and especially if they experience dementia.

It would be great to have an interface toggle that could revert the UI to something much more simple, and to have a kind of 'feature lock' which keeps UI elements in the same place between versions.

These people tend to revert to what they've learned through repetition, so changing the UI look and feel ends up confusing them far more than the average user. Such a mode could make a part of it's goal the consistency of location for key actions.
