Bring back video playback to ambient mode
In the most recent major software update, we lost the ability to play videos from our linked photo albums in slideshow (now ambient) mode. We were using this as a way for the entire family to upload home movies which would play continuously throughout the day on our linked portal devices. Please return this functionality, as it was far more useful than static images only in ambient mode.

Yes, removing this core feature removes the main reason we bought this, I will be returning this product unless this function is restored.

But without audio tracks? Used to be able to enable audio by tapping the screen and clicking a speaker icon, but that doesn't seem to be available now.

Agreed, this is yet another upsetting, unnecessary feature removal by Facebook, that blands it down to merely a much less interesting smart display than Echo and Nest, vs. something unique and enjoyable for families.
It was a joy seeing my short family and drone video shots playing from time to time in ambient mode.
Upvoting this post, and posting a separate general complaint about Facebook's disrespectful pattern of feature removal from Portal.
