Include a manual that can be printed for the older generation.
Would have liked to have a paper manual included or somewhere I could have printed it out. I am 60 plus and using this device to communicate with my husband while away from the home with short term memory loss, he need a picture with writing for him to understand, doesn’t do anything regarding the computer.

My daughter & family (all 3 of my grandchildren) live overseas. I am VERY disappointed that it will not connect with their computer!
---Ability to connect with my grandchildren overseas was the ONLY reason for my purchase but it won't connect with their computer, requiring them to hold a small phone while trying to talk as a group. I am VERY disappointed in my Portal! It also needs battery options but I at least knew about that ahead of time!

Please add an option to lock the screen to only show contacts or favorites only. It will be good for elderly people who aren't tech savvy.

Leave a message that you called.
When you place a call to someone who does not answer, allow some way to leave them a message to let them know you called. It could be as simple as a message light on the screen and when pressed would play the message either as voice or video with voice.

Not User Friendly, and Powering in all time
I'm returning my portal because UI is not user friendly and powering in all the time to receive the calls is not that good

I know you want facebook userers but there should be some how that an older person could use Portal without messanger and facebook.
Make portal work so that an older person does not need Facebook or messenger.

Allow acess for Facebook messenger
Allow users that do not have a smart phone or tablet to use FB messenger to access portal. Its not fair to ask someone you want to video chat to, to have to buy a portal. Especially if this was a gift so grandparents can see the grand kids. Some computers do not have a camera on them so this feature would be great.

Superframe Backgrounds
It would be nice if customization of the backgrounds in superframe is possible for both weather and pictures. Maybe changing the color or just a black background.

External Speaker Connectivity
I don't buying a USB-C to Audio IN adapter but since using the USB C voids the warranty ( !!!!) PLEASE make it consumer usable. Bluetooth is great but if I am streaming music I want to hear throughout the whole first floor (like I currently use my Echo Dot for), I need to be able to truly connect (not Bluetooth) a good external speaker! This also piggybacks on someone else's request to Allow Portal to work with Alexa's Multi-Room Music ...

I am going to need some video support for my ring doorbell and wyze cams. I bought 4 portals for my family instead of echo shows.
Video support for smart cameras. It would also make a great Directv now streaming device. You could be in the kitchen cooking and watching some games or kitchen shows.
