Allow to mute participants
It would be great to allow the organizer to mute participants because it gets really chaotic when there are many people on the call.

Auto Answer
This would be a great benefit for elderly people who maybe have difficulty with technology but who would really benefit from being able to keep in touch with family through video calls. In terms of Diversity and Inclusion, there are a lot of people who lack the ability, mobility and/or dexterity to answer, even with voice answering, but could carry out an conversation once the call is established.

By putting an on/off power switch on all models
I am so disappointed not to have a power switch on the model and if I had purchased it I would have returned it. As it was a gift this would be difficult to do. I have had to reposition the Portal as the power plug was situated behind furniture and not easy to reach. Therefore another less convenient position had to be found. For this reason I would hesitate to recommend this model

Remove rate call screen
After every call, the next screen is “Rate the quality of the call”. For an elderly person that is not familiar with using a touchscreen, it is very confusing. I don’t know why the quality of the call needs to be rated every single time. Please remove. I was hoping to use the Portal to call my 88 year old mother 2000 miles away. Not sure it is going to work. The following screen is to set up a reminder to make the same call. Annoying also.

A more alerting ringtone for older users
I have set the portal up for my 94 year old Grandma, however the ringtone on the Portal itself is not alerting enough for her to hear when someone calls. Is there a way of changing the ringtone? Thanks.

Research study participant &/or Product tester opportunity
I would like to know information pertaining to becoming a "product tester" or "research study participant" or anything else of the sorts. Im truly interested and would make a great and reliable person to commit to this sort of task..

“ RATE YOUR CALL”,
That screen comes up it’s in the beginning or middle of a conversation and it disconnects my video and continues to do that after I call them back. So I have them call me back and it doesn’t pop up till the end. Also some of our calls their volume very low in muffled.

Display photos continuously even without movement in the room or voice commands
Display photos in the Portal continuously even without detecting movement in the room. Family members in nursing homes are incapable of reaching the portal to touch the screen, and are unable to remember verbal commands but would like to see photos run continuously because it’s comforting to them.

Can I change the length of time that my photos are displayed for on Portal? I’d like them to not be so ADHD
It would be nice for the user to be able to change the amount of time each photo is displayed for. I purchased portal as a photo frame first and have found that the few seconds that each photo is displayed for is distracting and burns through my photos fairly quickly. Is there anyway to be able to change the amount of time each photo is displayed for? I’d like them to be displayed for a day each.

Improve instructions for adding new accounts
I just wasted an hour trying to add a new account because neither the Portal instructions (nor the troubleshooting steps, nor the Help agent via the chat), did not differentiate between entering the code on the device of the person being added to the Portal, versus the person who already has access to the Portal. (I cannot possibly be the only person with this issue...) Thanks!

My mom's dog loves the portal TV. When I call, it goes crazy...
You should be able to give permission for the dog to answer the portal by barking. Maggie loves to talk to me on the portal and goes crazy watching me on the tv. She often tries to go thru the tv to come to me. We live 1000 miles apart. I'm sure it would make a great ad too. Especially good for workers whose pets will have anxiety when they return to the office.

Need more tech info and perhaps versatility in device (no one seems to know).
Not too useful for me if as limited in utility as it seems. I have other means of video phone if desired and don't want a single-use device.

Reinstate the Albums From Favorites Feature
It was so nice to see photos from friends and family cycle through on my portal, but that feature was suddenly take away. I'd love to see it back!

Complaints process
Having a team that you can escalate breaks in your process and policy too, that’s separate from general chat teams. You can use the insight gathered in this team to improve process and customer satisfaction limiting brand damaging word of mouth.
