  2. Give better discount on the TV version during this tough time

    My parents are missing their grandchildren terribly over this pandemic. I wanted to get us a portal each but I really can't afford it. I was tempted by the 2 for £50 off deal before the black friday deal, but thought I'll hang on in there for the black Friday sale as it's surely to be cheaper n more affordable for me. To my dismay it's actually now more expensive! Will you be doing them cheaper before Christmas or at least bringing the 2 for £50 off deal back?

  7. Post firmware changelog and app changelog to portal website

    Having a webpage for features suggestions is already a big step towards making this a unique "family &friends" device.

    But you need to provide a changelog for app and device firmware so that users are aware of the changes and settings added! Otherwise it causes a lot of confusion. Maybe you can show them in the portal about tab.

    For example I noticed that firmware 1.2.1 added transparency to the caller window.. It took me to days and a reset to realize that this was a feature!

  11. Provide a reason why an account is disabled

    I have bought my Mum and Dad a Facebook Portal so we can communicate while in lockdown. After a few days their account became disabled with this message

    "Your account has been disabled
    You can't use Facebook because your account, or activity on it, didn't follow our Community Standards.
    We have already reviewed this decision and it can't be reversed.
    To learn more about the reasons why we disable accounts, visit the Community Standards."

    He literally DOES NOTHING with this account except receive and make video calls, and I uploaded some family photos to his timeline so they'd appear on…

    My portal no longer has option for incoming calls setting to allow you to set calls only to come to portal when you are home. It used to have feature that would only ring portal if my phone was at home. If I was away with my phone it would not ring on portal unit only my phone. Recently this has changed and calls are going to portal unit at home as well as my phone when I am away from home. I spoke w/ customer support and was advised that for some reason this feature was removed now only…

  16. If a timer goes off or notification of any sort, main view is minimized and can't be restored.

    I'm talking with someone and the timer goes off or a reminder comes up. The large screen to view them is minimized and can't be restored to full screen view. My mom was trying to show me something and I couldn't see what it was. Would have to hang up and call again for full screen view.

  18. Lock screen during call so young children/toddlers cannot interfere with call (by say turing on 'manual mode')

    I use portal to talk to my sister young nephews. My toddler nephew plays around with the portal during the call, which is disruptive (like ending the call or turning on 'manual mode'). We would like an option to lock the Portal during a call (say by setting up a pin) so that the touch screen is inactive.

  19. Train your telephone agents properly.

    I have been trying to get help to reset my Portal for MONTHS. Your staff consistently provided incomplete advice on how to achieve this. Then, when I went back and said it hasn't worked, my messages were ignored...no reply to email or messenger p.m. The Portal is a wonderful tool but your support staff are useless apart from Terena who was the only one who provided exactly the information I had been in need of.

    No terms and conditions connected to £50-off to state that both shipping addresses must be to the same country. "Customer service" confirms that this is not stated in the terms, but offer no apology, remuneration etc.
