Mic and Speaker Option in Settings
Users should have the option to connect bluettoth headphones with microphones or oprions to set defualt mic to use. Either built-in or via bluetooth.

Allow repositioning of 'selfie' size / location on screen
When doing a group chat, the location of the selfie view on Portal is isolated to the upper left of the device. Given the size and position, it overlaps the person you're speaking with. Allow long-press drag for repositioning, and pinch to scale to resize.

Bring back listening to music during calls (when not sharing)
Before 1.1.0 I was able to listen to spotify during calls, even when not sharing music ! The control floating buttons popped up when starting music from spotify on my phone, or also just when playing music from the spotify app accessible besides the effects and all. It sayed the music couldn't be shared but still played it !
But now, it doesn't play !!!!!!!!! This is horrible for me, as it means I can't listen to music while calling people. Why'd you take this feature away ???3 votes -
Call 911
For sure... someone should be working on the ability to call 911. The more users rely on this for calls (especially people with dementia) the more we’ll need the ability to notify emergency contacts and call 911.

Ability to disable effects and storytime
If there is an option in settings to disable effects and storytime during the video call it would be great. My 3-year-old son always goes to effects and storytime instead of talking.

Bonjour. J'ai fait l'acquisition d'un portal pour mon entreprise. Nous sommes une petite PME mais nous avons de façon régulière des Conf-Call avec des intervenants étrangers. Quelle ne fut pas ma déception... Vous proposez un produit bien manufacturé, au design élégant, mais l'ergonomie et son mode d'utilisation est incroyablement mal pensé ! Qui veut laisser au milieu de son salon ou de son bureau un outil qui autorise de rentrer en contact (de les identifier également) avec son carnet d'adresse ?? Pourquoi ne pas avoir créer une autorisation d'accès via l'app Portal ? Aujourd'hui impossible de se déconnecter sans entrainer…

Allow shared filters between Portal and Messenger
Currently if I’m on Messenger and my friend is on Portal, I can control my filters (mustache, etc) and he can control his. Would be great if the Messenger shared filters were available as well (useful when talking to my kid!).

being able to move video square on 10"
on 10" being able to move the square with my picture around to different spots on the screen. As it is now this picture in picture blocks a lot of things I don't want blocked. Now the square is in the upper left part of the screen. Want to change its position. This is doable on skype.

Let it record your conversation so you can watch later.
I teach and speak to small groups. I NEED it to be able to record the conversation so I can watch afterwards or share with others! Is there a possibility of that coming? People would LOVE it!

Needs much more Alexa and app support an
I need portal to support device groups through Alexa or I am taking a step back in home tech. I have many echo devices I my home and this was to replace the hub but it does not. Also needs to support Ring Video doorbell as well as other home hub devices. I plan on returning my portal until and unless these features are supported.

Photos disappear when music restarts
Suddenly, when my music turns off and I need to restart it, the album cover and play progress stays on the screen instead of a quick album shot and then a return to my Superframe photos. So I need to manually return to my photos every single time. It's a total pain and makes me dislike my Portal right now.

Stop duplicate notifications on Facebook Messenger
With Portal as well as Facebook Messenger on my phone, I get a huge number of annoying notifications I get every time I form a group, do a group video call on Portal. Messenger for iOS and Android needs an update to not annoy/attack user with notifications about Portal calls.

I want the transition functionality applied back to the portals. I bought the15.6” and 10.1” portals because I was able to transition from one to the next. Then you decide to remove the number one additional convenient feature after I spent hundreds of dollars. I feel ripped off robbed. Thank you Facebook Portal

Make it hipaa compliant
Make your product hipaa compliant. I work with healthcare systems that can have tremendous use case for this product. We were looking to purchase about 1,000 units for our patients if they were hipaa compliant.

Sign In W/ Messenger Account Only
It would be nice if users could sign into their portal using only a messenger account and not a full Facebook account. Some people only have messenger accounts as not full Facebook accounts. It doesn't make much since to be able to chat and video through messenger and then not use portal via messenger only when the video chat literally runs off messenger.
