Add the ability to display day and date on Superframe in addition to the time. Many older people would find this helpful!! Purchased for my mother in assisted living and would be very helpful for her to glance at the Superframe when she forgets day/date.

Portal Tv Connection

Allow business owners to purchase and use the solution for easy communication with customers
We have a hotel with some of the receptions that have a self-check in solution at night time. It would be wonderful if it was possible to purchase this solution to communicate with our customers when they need assistance by nighttime. Our business is located in Norway, so being able to purchase to the Norwegian markets is then also a must for us.

The ability to customize the names of contacts would be SO helpful to allow younger users to make calls.
If we could customize the names of our contacts so that portal would recognize the name we assign them, it would make it SO much easier for grandchildren to use portal. For example..."Hey Portal, call Nana" instead of "Hey Portal, call Oprah Winfrey"...

I would appreciate more parental control over what my children are exposed especially with effects.
I was horrified to look up today and see that my 5 year old on the other end had selected an effect that was akin to something from The Ring, and my 3 year old was on my end. I had ZERO control over what my children were exposed to at that moment. My 5 year old was not trying to pick something scary and inappropriate, but this effect was just there waiting for him to click. Video stops playing when screen rotates
Whenever you are playing YouTube, Allrecipes.com videos, or using Hulu on the desktop version of the browser, if you rotate the screen, the video will stop and cannot be resumed until you rotate the screen back to the original position it was in when the video started playing.

Portal needs Support for the Deaf Community
I meet a lot of people through traveling for my job, and I keep hearing about a growing community of users who are deaf using video calling devices, Portal especially. I know using sign language to command Portal is probably beyond the technology we have available now, but if there’s anyway to create a section of quick commands that could be used on the touch screen, Portal could quickly gain a huge market that is largely overlooked in the Smart Home category.
(For example, tap “Quick Commands” and then the user could tap something like, “Hey Alexa/Portal, what’s the forecast?”)

Should allow all messenger connections to be used not Just FB friends
When I bought this I was under the impression it would clean names from my messenger contacts. After setting it up and trying to locate those people I realized you actually have to add those people as friends on Facebook. Not always what user wants to do. It’s also not advertised or clearly stated anywhere!

Add more specific and detailed instructions
Derailed and specific instructions on features and how to use them. I have run into things that I have been unable to find specific instructions for through the articles and tips. Things like should you leave portal on all the time, why does screen shift from wide full room view to narrowed focus view on its own and how to control it, why does it change from full screen to a strip in the middle of the screen arbitrarily etc. trying to glean through the “tips” yields no answers. Ultra-Simple Mode
My folks are on their 80’s and not technologically inclined. They constantly turn on and off the auto mode, get lost on the apps and settings screen, initiate filters and stories. All this by just touching the wrong parent of the screen at any time.
It would be great to be able to set a ultra-simple mode that can be enable and it would remove everything but the calling ability, in fully auto mode, no voice assistant, and all the other apps and things that you might be inclined to add.
