Save wifi connection without account
Allow saving wifi connection details without requiring a facebook or WhatsApp account.
We use portal TV to call our whatsapp contacts and do not prefer to leave whatsapp connected all the time on portal.
Right now portal makes us go through the entire setup process whenever we try to login to WhatsApp after disconnect whatsapp web.

You need to move the camera back as with 1st generation portal! I need to be seeingvthe face of my compromised sister when talking to her...
Move the camera back to center so we can have eye contact both ways! For Gos's sake why would portal go backwards from 1st generation. So very stupid to have to look ar a camera so our loved ones can see our eyes! Loved one can see us but we have to tell a stupid camera how much we love instead of into the eyes of loved one. Missed the boat on 2nd gen development

Improve the Whatsapp connectivity with i-phone. Constantly loses connection with i-phone. Calls come to phone but not Portal.
Fix i-phone connection when using Whatsapp. Constantly disconnects. Work okay with Android phone. Facebook connection works ok with i-phone.

Make the Portal mini work without having to reboot before using.
Make the wifi connection to the mobile phone more stable. It works after reboot then it drops off and no more calls received /made until it is rebooted. Total rubbish.

Please remove auto cropping on Portal TV
When chatting with users on their phone's I do not see the full image, it is cropped in height. I presume this is due to the fact that they're in portrait mode and I'm permanently in landscape mode. Please at least provide the option to toggle this on/off as I'm being shown designs but missing elements which is somewhat frustrating both for me and the other person.

i notice that i have to sign out and sign back in Portal in order for Portal to sync my new contacts that I have added in Facebook

Speed check app / setting
A dedicated app or a settings feature to test real internet speed of portal. Would help determine possible bottlenecks with wifi network.

Simplify the camera modes with icons
Right now camera mode in use appears briefly only after trying to change it! It would be nice if all camera modes where shown as small icons indicating which one is in use! Furthermore this would allow the users with just tapping one of these icons to change the mode rather than accidental pinch to zoom or taps on the screen

Show 2 lines beneath favorite contacts so that both name and surname are visible
Right now only the first name is visible underneath favorite contacts due to lack of space (single line).

Ambient light mode strength adjustment
Ambient light mode is set at extreme levels. At all given light conditions it produces a huge red tint. Allow 3 levels of Ambient strength - none, medium, max

Volume increments are too large
also I have a small feedback to file. the increments of volume are too large.
when you ask Portal to lower the volume it either selects ~10% or zero. It should have more increments between those two volume levels. Note that it took the Google Assistant team a few tries to address this feedback as well. Volume increment discoverability is touch via ambient computing.1 vote -

Mandarin
Implement Chinese/ Mandarin in the portal languages. No other system has Mandarin and there is a huge population that speaks Mandarin.

Bonjour,
Ce serait super d'avoir une fonction de détection de mouvement avec notification vers un autre appareil. Cela pourrait servir notamment pour indiquer qu'un enfant est rentré à la maison et qu'on peut l'appeler sur portal ! Très utile pour les parents qui travaillent tard !

Screensaver and sleep mode
The screensaver and sleep mode isn’t kicking on when Pandora is on. Yes I realize I can manually click out, however it’s not reasonable to have develop that habit after switching a song or launching the app.

It would be nice to be able to see and speak with people clonnecting to the portal via laptop
need to connect to laptop and be able to see and hear the person you are calling on the portal. I have sound but no piture.
