  1. Being able to turn off mic and cam plus cam cover is a great security option although what is Portal doing behind the scenes for security?

    What is Portal doing behind the scenes to ensure the mic is NOT accessible via hackers? I love all the features that have been added and the idea and complete concept of the Portal. I am will considering to buy for my out of state parents so they have the incredible technology to stay connected with us, the accessibility from what I’ve read seems like my parents would (in their 70s) be very comfortable using. Besides the microphone issue I have no bad feedback to submit. Customer service quality seems to be the best I’ve seen with any other products…

  2. Add "Hey Portal MUTE MIC/Camera" voice command

    Please add this to her language. This would be an awesome feature. Please allow photo slideshow to still show when portal is muted. I noticed it turns the screen off . The photo thing is the best part we want to leave that going even if mic is off

  3. Remember Portal TV's User Orientation Mode

    Portal TV always starts video streams with the user's thumbnail window in Portrait mode. And... I always have to switch video streams to my preferred Landscape mode.

    Code it so that Portal TV remembers and starts in the user's last thumbnail window mode chosen by the user of the account. In may case, it would always stay in Landscape.

  4. Google assistent.

    Since Facebook portal tv works with Alexa, it could also work with Google assistent.

  5. Show Missed Calls

    If you receive a call from someone and you were not able to answer it, it would be nice to have an indicator on the screen that would open to a list of missed calls. The way it is now you need to scroll through all the "recent" list of friends and look for the words "missed call".

    Unless you check that area, you currently have no idea of you missed someone's call.

  10. NEED A REMOTE CONTROL!

    The versions of portal other than TV need to have a remote control to control volume and muting. Every person I gifted these to have individually asked about the same thing.

  12. Add background blur option for video

    So bokeh effect (background blurred) is all the rage these days and it is also useful for privacy. If you have a messy workplace or room in your home, blurring out the background makes for a more comfortable video call. Skype recently added a useful background blur option, so did Google Duo. Facebook Portal should also have a native built-in background blur option for video calls via a simple toggle.

    I play Facebook live videos from common sources every day when using my portal. every day i have to search for them. it would be amazing if there were a way to save those sources as favorites to eliminate the need for daily searching.
