1. Eliminate the need to say Hey.

   I’m not a fan of having to use the phrase Hey to start a voice command. It sounds like slang. When I speak to a person I address them by name, not Hey so and so.

2. Stop auto switching fullscreen view

   With a recent "update", Facebook has made a disastrous change to Portal video calling. If we fullscreen anyone in a group call with other windows smaller and on the left, faded out, the fullscreen view doesn't stay on whoever WE have chosen. It automatically changes without any user control over it, depending on whoever talks or some insane weird logic that I can't figure out.

   I can no longer choose to focus on 1 person's big picture all the time (of my choice). It keeps switching the fullscreen view on its own to whoever speaks and makes the other windows small. I wouldn't recommend FB Portal to anyone now if it's going to do such ridiculous stuff. I am thinking of selling it.

3. It would be most helpful for my mom with mild dementia to have the day of the week and the date displayed on the home page to orient her.

   Could we have the day of the week and the date of the month display on the home page. Example: Tuesday June 16.
   The time and weather are also helpful but the day and date would help seniors and dementia sufferers orient themselves to these things.

5. Provide ability to invite FB contacts in Messenger Room like you can do in Messenger video chat.

   Currently, you can only send links to folks to join a Room. Please consider adding the ability to Ring a FB contact while in a Room. My 92 year old mom can’t do anything more on the Portal than answer a call and she has about 40 FB family members that are wanting to connect with her in our weekly family call. We can call her in Messenger video chat, but that is limited to 8 connections. Thanks for considering!

6. I want to load android apps onto portal, even if sideloaded.

   I want to be able to use Android apps, from the google play store, or even side-loaded. This would include things like chrome, xm radio, skype, zoom, or other modes of communication I already use in other contexts. This is literally be the very first thing I tried to do when turning the device on. Why would I want a device that has a limited android OS that can't do this, when I can do a lot more with a standard android tablet, with the exception of the zoom and pan videoconferencing feature I bought portal+ for? I love that zoom/pan/tilt function, but the range of function on portal feels very limited by comparison to standard android.

8. One touch video call

   Could you make a default call mode that would allow us to always choose a video call with one touch? To default to always video chat? This would be helpful for an elderly relative.

9. portal browser does not support youtube signin

   Portal browser does not support youtube signin. Youtube subscribers cannot benefit from no ads, playlists and my stuff.
   This seems to be an unintentional high user impact bug you should fix in next sprint

10. Turn of the text etc over the photos

    I want to turn off the text etc over the superframe photo slide show so it looks like a photo frame and less like a “device”

11. Voice Command Answering

    Like many on here, I have a parent with vascular dementia. Portal has been a lifesaver during quarantine, but there needs to be a voice command to answer an incoming video call. Surely, “Alexa, answer this call...” is both feasible and hugely needed!

12. Portal TV, issue with TalkBack and very large text: settings not reachable

    I am configuring a Portal TV for my grand-parents. They can't see very well so I try to have the best display for them: high contrast, very large text and TalkBack (green lines around selected button).
    I want it to be as simple as possible.

    When activating TalkBack, green lines appear around selected button: good.
    You may have to reboot Portal TV to hear the voice also.

    Then, depending on the size of the text (default, large, very large), the main page layout varies.

    With default and large sizes, you can see every button (Facebook Watch, etc.) but with very large size, you cannot see Settings! You cannot reach it. How do you deactivate TalkBack? You are stuck!

    The workaround is to hard reboot the Portal TV and quickly go to settings as soon as the main page is displayed.

    With default and large sizes also, the navigation between icons has some issues, you press left to select an icon on the left but another icon is selected instead, very annoying!

    Please correct this issue, TalkBack:
    - has flaws on the main page with default and large text,
    - cannot be used with very large text.

    And if you can, try to test Portal TV with 70+-year-old people, simplify it like a dumb phone!

    Won't somebody please think of the elders? ;-)

13. Allow for Zooming and Other features prior to a call

    Allow to change the Zooming settings prior to a call and or also allowing for faces to be recognised so that if my Partner wants to video call her mother with our daughter, our daughter is spotlight for the duration of the call however having this preset prior to the call of for these settings to be voice activated or having presets available so that you do not need to amend too much each time you set up a call. If you where to allow for multiple portals being able to transfer calls in the future this feature would also be great if a mobile app could sync all devices to have all of these presets available. (could a recognized face help to trigger this feature)

15. Please Portal TV Room to share contact with Whatsapp contact

    Currently Portal TV allow us to create room but didn't allow to share Room link with Whats-app contact . It only allow us to share with messenger contact. Please include this feature as we are using PortalTV for remote learning classes. And with room screen sharing Teacher can be more interactive while performing session.

16. Allow images from a Private Group only to display on Portal

    My nan is 97 and we want her to only see images from a private family group set up from her page which only invited family members can post to. We want all of our kids and grandkids visible to her on her portal, but are worried about the safety of such images due to the number of weirdos on the internet.

17. Update Portal Notes

    The new Notes feature needs to have an option to delete notes you no longer want, instead of just changing a note. And the icon needs to be able to hide from the display. I like the feature, but don't need a note up constantly.
