Enable Apple Music
You can already use Apple Music on all other Echo devices and can play Apple Music on the portal using the Alexa app. So why not just enable it to let me play it with my voice. please!

Change Alexa’s name
Please, please make an update that allows a change of name from Alexa to “Echo” or “Computer” anything else (like Amazon allows). Our daughter is named Alexa, and I’m sure anyone with an Alexis or Alex or similar names is struggling with this. I recently connected my Amazon account to my Portal so I can access my music from there, and every time I call my daughter it interrupts / messes up. The wake up name needs to be changable from Alexa. Very annoying if you have an Amazon or indeed human Alexa already in your household!!

Enable voice commands to make WhatsApp calls, where caller doesn't have FB messenger
I've learnt that you can only call someone using voice commands if they already have a FB account. If they only have WhatsApp, it doesn't work. As this device is particularly suited to the older generation who don't get touchscreens and don't have Facebook, this seems like a major oversight.

Give nicknames to multiple portals
I have a Portal TV in the living room and a portal mini in the kitchen in an open floor plan layout. The issue is both will answer if I say, "Hey Portal". It would be great if you could give each portal a nickname, so when you go to answer one of them you could say, "Hey Portal answer Living Room," or "Hey Portal answer Kitchen," and there would be no feedback issues and both portals would not be active.

Problems with voice assistant recognising a name
Is there a way for the voice assistant to recognise a name that sounds the same but has a different spelling?
For example: Carole instead of Carol or Pattison instead of Patterson?

Enable the use of IFTTT for smart home users, I have a portal TV that was bought for me for Christmas and the idea is great but having to change the TV channel manually on an incoming call is tedious and annoying. You do have a great idea here but I don't think a lot of thought went into it

Voice Command Answering
Like many on here, I have a parent with vascular dementia. Portal has been a lifesaver during quarantine, but there needs to be a voice command to answer an incoming video call. Surely, “Alexa, answer this call...” is both feasible and hugely needed!

Control Spotify with voice, and set Spotify as default music app
Portal should be on par with Echo when it comes to voice controlling music (and other apps). When I say "Alexa, play music" it should open up the Spotify app and continue playing music, just like it does on all my other devices. Now, all Alexa says is "this device is not supported". Also, I should be able to set Spotify as my default music app, which I currently cannot do.

List of actions possible via voice command
I have no idea what commands are possible. With Alexa devices I know everything it does is voice activated, but with portal the available seem more limited. My gran likes to view the slideshow for example, but I can't figure out the command to start it, and she is no use with touch screens, as Will just randomly tap the screen and hope it works

Whats the difference in technology? American voice is not good to hear in the UK. Very poor selling something in UK that can only be used with American voice.

I would like to answer whatssap calls by using voice. Either hey portal or Alexa. As I have lot of family who i can only call on whatssap as they don’t have Facebook and most of the time my portal is out of reach

Google Voice Assistant
I am interested in purchasing two Portal Plus systems. I been looking at your features and see that you have Alexa built into the Portal. I do not use or like Alexa. My home is a complete Google home. Do you also have Google Voice built into the Portal? If not, it looks like I am going to have to use Goole Meet for my home video calls. I need to know before purchasing. -

Add the ability to add the portal to Alexa device groups
I love my home automation and would love to have the full featured Alexa in the device so I don't have two devices in my kitchen.
One feature I am missing is the ability to add the portal to a group so it can turn a room lights without specifying what room I am talking about.
Right now the portal is invisible in groups.
