3. We bought our Portal for face to face conversation with our grandkids ages 4-7. They love the books and special effects and games! We need

4. Support for bluetooth keyboard

   Support of blurtooth keyboard in different regions would be great, and support team say it’s not supported. It works only in QWERTY layout even ig i choose other langages (i.e France).
   Using Microsoft Teams on the Portal is not easy without keyboard.

5. Bring back video playback to ambient mode

   In the most recent major software update, we lost the ability to play videos from our linked photo albums in slideshow (now ambient) mode. We were using this as a way for the entire family to upload home movies which would play continuously throughout the day on our linked portal devices. Please return this functionality, as it was far more useful than static images only in ambient mode.

7. Make a way to setup portal tv without remote

   Make a way to use the app to setup portal tv.

   If remote fails you are instructed to do a factory reset of control still does not work you are now stuck with a non functioning portal tv as you can’t pass initial setup without the remote. I now have to wait for a replacement remote before I can use portal tv again and we live in the Canary Islands so have to either wait for someone to visit or pay postage and risk losing remote or it taking months to arrive.

8. Make the portal useable without remote including setup

   Make it possible to use app to setup and use portal Tv if remote fails.

   I have found myself with a now unusable portal tv as the remote failed and I now have to wait for a remote to firstly be shipped to uk address and then I have to either pay for postage myself(live in the Canary Islands) or wait for someone to visit before I can use the portal tv again as part of the process for testing the remote was a factory reset of the device and now can’t do anything with it without the proper remote

10. Watch streaming together.

    I’m surprised the ability to watch content together is limited to Facebook watch. Why can’t a call
    Run in the background when you use all other portal apps? This would allow you to use native apps like Plex to create watch parties and watch films on my portal tv with my family back home. Seems like a really obvious and compelling use case for the portal tv that wouldn’t require a lot of work on your part.

11. Portal TV - use built in speaker to improve echo problems

    I am posting this again even though multiple users have already raised this issue. Come on Facebook, it should be easy to add this setting on Portal TV!

    Please could the developers include an option on the Portal TV to ONLY use the built in speaker? This is the only way I am able to get it to work without echoing (I have already tried other troubleshooting steps). A surprising number of people I know returned their Portal TV because of problems with echo, which would be mostly fixed by allowing a user to change this setting, since the built in speaker doesn't cause the echo problems most of the time.

    At the moment, the way I use the internal speaker is:
    (1) Connect a bluetooth speaker to Portal TV
    (2) start a Messenger call on Portal TV
    (3) turn off the bluetooth speaker
    (4) the Portal TV then defaults to its own built in speaker - which works PERFECTLY (no echo).

    This has been submitted on here multiple times - originally all the way back in December 2019 and it is STILL not fixed!

    It is possible to change this setting in the Zoom app - please add it to the general settings for the device so that we can have this setup for Messenger calls.

    I think we would all really appreciate it :)

12. Widgets for Home AND lock Screen

    Ability to add widgets (for me, a Today/Calendar/Reminders) to home and lock screen, but essentially with data from any app.

    Ability to Resize Date/Time on Home and lock screen (Big enough to replace a clock, but still with the nice photo backgrounds.

    Too little customization for these screens overall. (Heck, I'd even accept a full-screen app that does these instead of the home/lock-screen.)

18. Use Facebook Watch with more than one other - like the advert shows!

    I'm confused as to the advert currently on your website promoting buying a Portal TV for mother's day which says "Enjoy Facebook Watch originals with friends ". The advert shows a Portal TV being used with TWO other feeds to the left of the screen....
    But my Facebook Watch on Portal TV only works with 1 other person/feed at a time...?

19. Voice Command Response Delay Option

    I brought the portal for my family relative who is paralyzed.

    He has the ability to talk but cannot do so quickly as he has had a tracheostomy. As you can tell voice command speakers and phone settings are a lifesaver for him giving him some personal freedom.

    However the portal responds very quickly after the command 'hey portal' It would be great if there could be a update to delay the voice command response giving my family member time to give the full command. I would really be a helpful tool for him and would honestly give him such more control to call family members during these uncertain times.

    A simple switch in accessibility settings to allow for voice command responses to be delayed for a few extra seconds would be really helpful

20. Restrict portal contacts to close contacts only

    Allow us to add a group of close contacts, and restrict portal to only being able to call these contacts by default. This would stop accidental calls to acquaintances that may have similar names for the voice recognition.
