  1. Debug firmware/software before release

    There are far too many glitches in the stable updates released - a video on Twitter showed a user who randomly could not type a number 2 in his password and so he had to disconnect the power plug. The Internet meanwhile is also rife with users who cannot, for love nor money, name their portal during the setup process.

    I realised eventually that I could use the back button a few screens (I went back to the connect to WiFi stage) and then progress through the stages again for the portal to be able to be named. This is…

  4. Customer service is awful!

    There should be a customer service phone number as i haven’t recieved a response from my many emails and messages over 2weeks yet you reply to others that leave positive feedback on your page. My item is still faulty, this problem isn’t going away by itself. I would appreciate if you would Contact me back

  5. Stop it mirroring image on facebook live - makes it useless for text.

    I purchased portal for streaming lectures, but I cant use facebook live as it mirrors the image making it useless for text on a whiteboard.

    It works fine for calls, but that is no good for seminars for groups that can then keep the video.

    It seems very basic, and is an obvious problem. Who in their right mind would chose to mirror the image in the first place?!

  6. Keep screen off except when in use

    I wish my Portal would just go black or only show the time (like it does when it thinks nobody is around) when not in use. My most used Portal command is "Portal, go to sleep". I don't ever want to see a slideshow of pictures and after one minute of inactivity would just like it to go black.

  7. Portal+ Tilt of screen, a USB Port and mouse connectivity

    Using virtual keyboard is not comfortable position, it would be useful if the screen could be tilted in the landscape position to make for a more enjoyable typing experience.

    It would be useful to have a USB Port fitted to allow a corded keyboard and mouse to be used.

  8. 360 degree turning view support for Facebook Portal

    Current Facebook can't turn the position of camera. Hopefully there could be 360 degree view control. I know some ppl may consider the privacy. But if we purchase Facebook portal and we trust Facebook can handle the privacy well.

  9. Portal TV as USB Web camera

    Ability to use Portal TV as USB Web camera + Mic opens up for good telecommuting setup. There is no good alternative web camera with good far field microphones + noise cancellation in the market.

  12. add Facebook functionality to Portal TV.

    Can you add a Facebook app so that we can scroll our Facebook wall on the Portal TV, and maximize Facebook live video streams that friends have on their individual walls? During the pandemic I have been following various singing entertainers who give free concerts and it would be nice to be able to pull these up and watch them live on my TV.

  13. Give portal the ability to use facebook LIVE in specific private groups within Facebook. And the ability to use it for Instagram LIVE would

    I do appreciate the Facebook LIVE option for Portal. However, I'd really like the ability to use it for Facebook LIVE within specific groups. Chat support has told me I can use the LIVE feature public, just friends, or specific friends---and the specific friends is good... but still, would love to be able to use the Facebook LIVE feature specifically in private support groups I'm a part of on Facebook. Also-- and this is a stretch... but if it could someday be used for Instagram LIVE, too...that would be amazing!

  14. Portal would be great for online teaching and trainer

    As it has a tracking camera, if it adds Bluetooth audio and let a teacher / trainer records a good audio, and supports Bluetooth HID for remote controller (shutter control). This will be great for supporting Facebook Live and for video archiving for future use or live training.

  15. Adding option:”Never” to the setting: “screen off”

    Before we used our photos to display during not working the portal and it was very beautiful because we could see our memorable photos
    But now, it’s not possible because of setting for Screen off max after 1 hour
    I don’t think it’s a good setting or at least option: never Can be added

    Lies lies you fail to mention if my grandkids are under 13 the portal is a door stop since you don't support messenger kids cmon now what kind of scam are you running .......update and stop lying to customers

    Portal Plus - I love portal and I have gifted one of each to my family as they all live in Italy and I’m in UK.
    I have a little one (2 years old) that also love to call my parents but she also love to touch the screen and in particular the buttons above my portal plus.
