    When searching for a solution to this, I found many users over the past couple of years have complained about this problem. As we have only just bought our portal, it seems nothing has been done about a simple update

    Totally agree with all comments. The incoming call tone is weird, sort of a quiet, slow, hesitant warble. As with many other users this is for 90 yr old, when she is not looking at the portal my mother doesn’t notice that it’s calling. There is only the dysfunctional whisper option as default. What was wrong with a simple ringing sound that can be heard by older people, remember that tone is also important as your ears age. Facebook has gone big time on installing all their apps, presumably for younger users/families, but marketed it to older users who really love it, then ignored their ability to actually use it SIMPLY.
