  2. More attention for Whatsapp

    I know Whatsapp is not big in the USA as in other countries.
    However, could the developers develop a full-fledged Whatsapp app on the Portal?
    The current half-baked web "integration" is not good at all. Regularly got signed out, no "Hey Portal" support, it seems like the smart zoom doesn't work on Whatsapp call either.

    Most of the ads for Portal are for elderly users.
    First, why would you make those targeted users sign up for Facebook to get started with Portal? Can't you learn from all of your collected data that may be most families prefer just want to…

  6. Error - re-framing picture when there is no movement

    I like (a little) the idea that, as in the TV advert, if you are chatting while you are in your kitchen, moving about, the camera will track you and keep you in the frame.

    I am very happy that portal will adjust the frame depending on how many people it finds.

    I am not happy that if you sit on the sofa and chat without moving around, your software is unable to maintain the framing.

  7. Take a picture

    I have a portal tv. It would be nice to take a photo or screenshot. This thing has an awesome camera but it doesn’t take photos which is crazy. Especially for large family photos, it would be great.

  9. Ability to go live in Facebook groups and go to manual mode while going live on Facebook to show whole body.

    My wife and I purchased to help with live fitness videos for Facebook live. To stream to a group we created would be helpful instead of adding each individual. Also the manual mode would help with being able to see our whole body while doing the workout instead of just the top half.

  12. Allow story teller to be a party using Messenger or Portal App to a Portal device

    Allow the story teller to be the person using the Messenger or Portal App on their phone and not just the user using a Portal device.

    My use case is that i'm away for work a lot and I would like to use the service to tell my child a story before bed. But i dont want to carry a portal around with me when I'm on the road. I just want to use the app on my phone to call my son on the portal TV at home.

  15. Add ability for each user account to have their own spotify accounts linked without logging the original linked account out

    Add the ability for each user to be able to be logged into their own spotify accounts without having to continusly log out and back into individual accounts, each user has diff tastes in music, and it would save time for each to be logged in already when logging into their user profile

  17. Full Screen Mode during call. Basic Camera Controls

    I have a new born baby and wife living far away far away so the Portal TV is a perfect solution for various reasons.

    Our challenge is that without proper camera controls, the Portal does not face track my son. My wife is required to crouch by the crib to be able to get him in the frame. Adjusting the spotlight does not help. The default position for the camera seems to sit on a chair in the corner of the room.
    Having the ability to have a full room camera setting should be a basic options with launch.

    Where is the support to view all smart cameras on screen. This should be a standard feature.
    From what I can see is only the ring doorbell works.

    It seems to be this device has been rushed and 90% of features it should have are missing.

  20. Hide or prevent access to watch app

    The reason I bought a portal is so that my littles could connect with other family members without having access to the whole world of the internet , videos and games...
    I’m able to hide under her profile all apps except for perhaps the worst one
    At the very least give the option under the profile settings to lock it down
