Checking to see if you have a "commercial" or "enterprise" version of your Portal device that is "room assignable" for use in a Hotel. Currently, we are using units from the other two manufacturers but would be VERY interested in having the Portal product as an additional option.

Portal Tv Connection
The option to broadcast portal to a tv using a hdmi connection or UPNP connection would be great the screen sizes are fine on the portals but it would be nice to get a larger screen at certain times for business use or for time when lots of family members are in one room and your contacting someone who couldn’t make it or if portal could develop a tv portal box something similar to Roku or firetv you could connect to tv as the display and has a camera to attach to the top of the tv with a built…

Enable all interactions with voice commands
Anything I do on the screen should be possible with voice commands. Rating the quality of a call, opening/controlling apps, and muting the microphone are all examples of things I have to walk over to the device in order to accomplish. Make it truly hands-free!

Smart Home Hub
I understand the Portal is generally designed to be primarily voice activated and controlled, but I would love to be able to tap the Portal to control my Hue lights or see the state of other smart devices in my home (indoor and outdoor thermostat, for example. Or just have a "here's the current weather outside" HUD)
I also wouldn't object if half the screen presented a live stream of Facebook notifications and current feed items.
I think I can patch this together using Hass.io but that's a fair amount of work and it would require always displaying the browser…

a set of games, like chess and checkers that we can play while chatting.

Allow business owners to purchase and use the solution for easy communication with customers
We have a hotel with some of the receptions that have a self-check in solution at night time. It would be wonderful if it was possible to purchase this solution to communicate with our customers when they need assistance by nighttime. Our business is located in Norway, so being able to purchase to the Norwegian markets is then also a must for us.

Give access to portal microphone from bluetooth
This would be great, in order to use the portal's amazing array of microphones and perfect speaker sound during voice calls on my cell phone !
Just like the JBL Flip speakers, which allow us to use the unit during calls, because there is a microphone on the speaker !13 votes -
Allow camera and microphone access from browser
This would also solve quite a few other suggestions. We should be able to use the camera and microphone from the browser !!!

The ability to customize the names of contacts would be SO helpful to allow younger users to make calls.
If we could customize the names of our contacts so that portal would recognize the name we assign them, it would make it SO much easier for grandchildren to use portal. For example..."Hey Portal, call Nana" instead of "Hey Portal, call Oprah Winfrey"...

The ability to turn off graphics during story time would be helpful for small children who frighten easily :)
It would be wonderful if users could turn off the graphics with story time. My grandsons LOVE sharing the stories with me but are tiny toddlers and some of the graphics scare them...namely seeing their Nana as the big "not so bad" wolf in the 3 lil pigs story.

I would appreciate more parental control over what my children are exposed especially with effects.
I was horrified to look up today and see that my 5 year old on the other end had selected an effect that was akin to something from The Ring, and my 3 year old was on my end. I had ZERO control over what my children were exposed to at that moment. My 5 year old was not trying to pick something scary and inappropriate, but this effect was just there waiting for him to click. Portal needs to have either ONLY effects that are appropriate for small children, or they need to provide parental control over what comes…

Video stops playing when screen rotates
Whenever you are playing YouTube, Allrecipes.com videos, or using Hulu on the desktop version of the browser, if you rotate the screen, the video will stop and cannot be resumed until you rotate the screen back to the original position it was in when the video started playing.

Add Timehop feature!
I’d love to say “Hey Portal, Show me everything that happened today through Timehop.” And the. Superframe could switch to photos only in timehop for a specific amount of time that could be altered in settings like Superframe.”

Portal needs Support for the Deaf Community
I meet a lot of people through traveling for my job, and I keep hearing about a growing community of users who are deaf using video calling devices, Portal especially. I know using sign language to command Portal is probably beyond the technology we have available now, but if there’s anyway to create a section of quick commands that could be used on the touch screen, Portal could quickly gain a huge market that is largely overlooked in the Smart Home category.
(For example, tap “Quick Commands” and then the user could tap something like, “Hey Alexa/Portal, what’s the forecast?”)

Needs More Specific Voice Commands
If Portal could have better tie ins to the apps it uses it would make a more efficient device, for example, asking Portal to “Open Spotify” is far different than asking Alexa to open Spotify. With Portal, Spotify opens but everything must now use the touch screen. With Alexa, you cannot say “Open Spotify”, this will cause Spotify to just resume the music and nothing on the screen changes. However, the two can work together in a strange way, but only if you open them in the correct order. For example, when you tell Portal to open Spotify, the app…

Add voice command "Hey Portal, turn off the Screen Reader".
Add a voice command "Hey Portal, turn off the Screen Reader". For those that don't know how to navigate Portal while the Screen Reader is on, this voice command would create a very easy way to disable Screen Reader and return Portal to normal controls in a matter of 5 seconds.

Make Portal work from Business Facebook Page
I have a buisnes Facebook and a personal FB. I LOVE using my portal for business but I don't like giving my personal FB to just random people. I would much rather, if people are wanting to Video message me in buinsess it should be done from my business page and not my personal.
