1. Enable Talk Function Through Ring Doorbell

   I can view the front door camera through the Ring Doorbell using Alexa, but there is no way to activate the mic to talk through the device. This is a major drawback for people wanting to monitor people at the front door using Portal. I was lead to believe the Portal had that functionality after viewing the picture on your website showing the front door view with a "mic on" icon in lower left corner https://portal.facebook.com/features/.

4. distinguish homescreen favourite contacts by channel

   Identical Favourite contacts on the homescreen are not distinguishable by channel (WhatsApp or Messenger) until they are clicked on. A visual indicator to identify the channel of the contact before they are clicked would be nice.

6. We should be able to use our soundbar.

   When my daughter called, we heard an echo of our voices on their end and it was delayed a bit. We don't have time to disable all audio settings on the TV, nor should we have to. It should be a fun, seamless process to just answer the phone and visit.

7. Adjust location of preview window.

   We need the ability to adjust or turn off the preview window at the top, left of the screen (where you see yourself). When sitting in our chairs, my family on the other end cannot see my face as that preview window hides one of us.

15. Ability to set up and use the Portal without having a FB account

    It should be possible to use Portal with only a Whatsapp account without having an active Facebook account. If someone only uses Whatsapp, they should still be able to use Portal.

17. Add option to use Portal TV inbuilt speaker as default output device.

    I know that it is lower quality than the speakers in the TV, but it is good enough and is the only way we found for my parents to not hear the start of every one of their sentences repeated back to them.

    It should be an option in the software to select audio output device and use the inbuilt speaker instead of needing to go through the TV as this would solve our problems for us. The only way we can currently do this is by attaching a bluetooth speaker to the camera (which repeats all audio back to the recipient), and then disconnect it mid call.

18. Volume increments are too large

    also I have a small feedback to file. the increments of volume are too large.
    when you ask Portal to lower the volume it either selects ~10% or zero. It should have more increments between those two volume levels. Note that it took the Google Assistant team a few tries to address this feedback as well. Volume increment discoverability is touch via ambient computing.
