  1. WhatsApp login for Portal phone app

    One can use WhatsApp to login to Portal TV without ever using Facebook, but seems like that's not the case for the Portal app (on iOS atleast). The app is the only way to add custom photos to Portal, but it demands a FB login, which IMO breaks the privacy model. How can one login to the Portal iOS app and add photos with just WhatsApp?

  2. We should be notified in advance of breaking changes

    Users should be notified when breaking changes are shipped - Example: "Hey Portal, Supergframe"
    "which App?"
    "Superframe"
    "Which app?"
    "Frame"
    "Which App?"
    - repeat

    No help or explanation as to where the ability to just show photos went to or why it is not just running all the time anymore

    It is just showing some **** on the left hand 30% of the screen

    removing commands is a breaking change
    Users of this product should be notified in advance of breaking changes

  3. Cellular LTE Options

    Please tell me that there is a version to be released that has an integrated cellular option - ATT/Verizon/TMobile - that allows this to be placed anywhere -

    Perfect for senior citizens that do not have residential internet and families can provide service within the device for ease of use.

  4. Connect to the tv

    Allow users to connect the portal to the tv. The device itself if fine. Nothing that a phone or tablet can't do, but it's fine. We were going to hook the portal to the tv like the portal website says you can but it's not working. I talked to support and said it may not be possible. That sucks. I wish I'd bought from a different company who had this stuff figured out before they posted "information" to they're own website.
    I'm very disappointed and won't be upgrading to another Facebook device.

  5. Fix "half duplex" audio problems (cut outs)

    This isn't as much of a suggestion as a bug report. The audio performance for the Portals, especially the Portal TV's, is very poor. The portal microphone mutes itself for a second when it picks up sound that came out of the speakers - resulting in half duplex (walkie talkie) style communication.

    Participants then complain that it's "hard to hear". If you have a call where kids are in the room, or side conversations are happening, then there is going to be tons of random audio cut outs - making conversations painful or impossible.

  6. By making it work!

    A year ago I bought both me and my parents a portal, when it works, it works great... But that is WHEN IT WORKS.

    Occasionally it does not ring on my side or on theirs making it absolutely useless.

    Or when it does ring and we pick up I cannot unmute or turn my camera on in the screen. The slide at the top is so it should both work, but the inscreen signs show muted and camera=off. When i tap on the these sign in the screen in order to make them work, it simply mutes me straight away…

    Stop Treating Portal TV customers differently, as Unimportant after thoughts when it comes to Portal App Development.

    So many times are you advertising app scan be used on portal devices, to later find, sorry isn't available on portal TV or when people request Apps for the portal, as soon as you have made the app available for devices other than Portal TV, you marked the item as Closed/Completed.

    It is NOT Completed until it can be used on all portal Devices including Portal TV.

  9. Do not use Yodel as a courier service in the UK

    By far the worse courier service experience I’ve ever had. It was supposed to be an express delivery option and instead it was never delivered. I sent a Portal as a gift to a friend and they had to go to the local delivery depot on their own to pick it up. Expected delivery date was stuck to the same date for over a week.

    Their website design is horrible, their parcel tracking info minimal and their customer service even worse. For a delayed delivery, they told me twice to talk to the retailer, which has nothing to do with…

  11. Quit changing the Homepage and making it harder and harder to access what we want to do on our device!

    Keep the Homepage user friendly. Changes have been made that make it harder to access what you want on your device. It changes to a stock screensaver and you have to tap and swipe tap and swipe etc to get to a app that says "APPS" then tap it. Heaven forbid if you leave for a few minutes and it reverts back and you have to start all over again. Mine even signs itself out in the middle of me reading a book on it and I have to start the whole process over.

  12. Help elderly with a remote control to answer calls

    Why don't you make a remote control to allow instant call answering? I have a 94yr mum that has the ordinary portal. She has issues as bed-bound. When receives a call she has to either try and lean up to answer or pickup Portal. Portal is not light. Voice control doesn't pick up voice as very quiet. so what normally happens is she needs to call a staff member to prop her up and answering the call. At least with a remote, she can answer the call. She has week voice so voice commands not good. Even if you charged…

    Multiple Bluetooth Headphone Connections for Portal TV. If you were able to allow multiple Bluetooth headphone connections (including the built-in Bluetooth microphone connection) it would make the experience so much better.

  17. Make it possible to send to Australia and New Zealand in one order or give discount vouchers to make multiple ordering fair.

    So disappointed the whole idea is to connect with family friends - I want to buy two portals and have one sent to my son in Australia and other to NZ but it won’t let me. I would have to make two separate orders and loose the $160 discount - HOW IS THIS FAIR? Even if there was a realistic postage charge it would be better. But to be honest the postage costs to both Australia and New Zealand will be the same. Come on Facebook make this fairer - u want us to buy multiple portals make it possible

  19. Mirror all FB Contacts including Groups on the TV Portal

    I was surprised (disappointed) to find that my ‘FB messenger groups’ were not included in the list of ‘messenger contacts’ displayed on the TV Portal. It would be great if they could be added at some point please.

    I use ‘groups’ to make it easier to setup a group chat with contacts that I regularly talk to, it’s really strange that they are not pulled through onto the TV Portal.
