An error occurred while saving the comment Exactly. Being able to turn on Spotlight for other person is why I got Portal as they don't care about turning it on and move around the room, and now Facebook has taken it away. This is breach of trust. I will not be recommending Portal to anyone or buying any future Portals unless Spotlight is brought back the way it was.

As always, thanks so much to everyone who voted for this idea! As part of a recent software update, the ability to move the self-view window during a call has been added to Portal, Potal+, and Portal Mini devices. Simply touch your self-view and drag it to another corner of the screen! As this functionality is not available on Portal TV at this time, we will be marking this idea as started. Thanks and enjoy!
An error occurred while saving the comment This is still not possible for WhatsApp calls in a group video call.
An error occurred while saving the comment At least allow us to move the window. So many times, the window is covering the face of a person behind it. In group video calls of 3 or 4 participants, the left side is completely blocked.
An error occurred while saving the comment Yes this is a no-brainer. Why did they fix the position of the self view window in the top left? Even for a V1/1st generation device, it should not have such limitations.

An error occurred while saving the comment This annoyed me a lot too since the people I video call with are in a different time zone and often used to call me very early in the morning around 6 AM or so when I was fast asleep.
So here's what I did. I set a permanent recurring reminder using Alexa on Portal to remind me to turn on DO NOT DISTURB mode every night at 10 PM before I go to bed.
So now it reminds me every day and I just swipe from the bottom edge on Portal and quickly turn on DO NOT DISTURB mode till 8 AM next morning.
I agree they should have added a way to turn on/off DND on a schedule but until they listen to us, this is the next best thing.

An error occurred while saving the comment There is a passcode option in PRIVACY section of Settings already. Turn it on.
However what they do need to add is the ability for kids to not END THE CALL by pressing the red button with the X on it during an ongoing video call.

An error occurred while saving the comment Yes +1. This is a great idea. Often people who are not tech savvy can't figure out how to long press or turn on spotlight. Turning on spotlight for our own camera would be great.

An error occurred while saving the comment Update: Until this is fixed, I have stopped using Portal since this horrid automatic fullscreen switching is mandatory and unavoidable. I had purchased Portal to video call and see specific people, and not let the device decide for me who it should show if there are also other people in the group call.
The device is being oversmart in switching the view on its own. There is no way to pin the fullscreen view to a particular person in a group call.

An error occurred while saving the comment This now works as of July 2020 if you last called a group and it is the recent calls list on the home screen. Simply tap that and it will do a group call to whichever group call you did earlier.

An error occurred while saving the comment This functionality is now available on Portal but it is forced, not optional. So even if you want to focus on 1 person in fullscreen view, it now automatically switches fullscreen view depending on whoever is talking.

An error occurred while saving the comment I want a clean superframe photo screen slideshow. No Notes button, no no temperature, no time, no profile pic and no name. Maybe just the three dots to send or hide a photo are acceptable but nothing else.
